Perfect title; exceptional book.
I have bought several copies to share with others..I cannot describe how helpful I have found this book to be..I have reopened it time and again..God gave this author the ability and drive to articulate the complexities and healings from struggle and loss that I believe so many of us have in common.

Life changing
Surely this book will become a classic. It addresses living after catestrophic loss. The author lost his wife, mother and young daughter in an auto accident when they were hit by a drunk driver in 1991. He and three other young children survived. Though his loss came through death, he applies what he learned to every kind of loss such as loss of health, a job or a marriage. The sections on regret and forgiveness where especially powerful: regret: Thus, for redemption to occur, they must let go of the loss itself and embrace the good effects that the loss can have on their lives. They must somehow transcend what lies behind and reach forward to what lies ahead, directing their energies toward changes they can make now. In other words, they must seek personal transformation, which comes ... Surely this book will become a classic. It addresses living after catestrophic loss. Starts out pretty intense and then eases into the realities of dealing with loss.
I bought this book upon the recommendation of a friend who lost her husband of 38 years. The book was also recommended to her. I will pass it on because it's well worth sharing as we will all need this at some point in our lives.
