    The History and stories of Christmas songs

    This book is a must in order to have a greater appreciation of the Christmas songs we sing each year. Christmas songs with depth and meaning were written due to heart ache, war, and love for the Lord. Its a great book to read to children or going into Senior homes.

    One of three books in my rerence library, by same author

    I purchased this book as a reference book for my library. I don't intend to read it cover to cover, as a collection of short stories about Christmas songs. I purchased this book, what I would call "volume one" at the same time as I purchased "volume two" - "More Stories Behind the Best Loved Songs of Christmas", by the same author. I also have in my library, "Stories Behind the Great Traditions of Christmas", by the same author. Together, they should contain any references I should ever need about these topics. Along with "volume two", I'm reasonably certain that most, if not all, of my favorite Christmas songs. I also have a friend makes historic music programs for presentation at museums, libraries, etc. (I'd loan these book to him if he needed them.) There is absolutely nothing I would ...
