SIMPLY THE BEST
Bishop Sheen wrote this more than 50 years ago and it is still "Simply The Best". He jumps into the most important question right away: How can you reasonably compare all religious figures with a "universal yardstick"? There are so many competing voices telling you why you should listen to them instead of to all the others. Well, he gives you the short answer right away as to how Jesus is totally different - to use an over-used word truly "unique" - in human history. But then he spends the next several hundred pages expanding on this theme and he does it in a way that is filled with loving understanding of the human condition. It is hard - but not impossible - for me to comprehend how someone can read this book with an open mind and not walk away ... A beautiful book
The book is in good shape, albeit published some yrs ago. The content is amazing, for those who desire to know more about Christ. I bought it for my friend, and heartily recommend it for anyone with a hunger for the Lord.
