A Wonderful Fun and Learning Experience!!!
This book is fabulous. Along with it's companion, The Knitter's Book of Yarn, it gives a real education on the types of yarn out there and what they are best used for. In the case of The Knitter's book of Wool, we're talking about types of sheep, what kind of wool comes from each one, and what types of patterns are best suited to a specific wool. The book is just plain fun to read, and that's before you even consider the patterns included. This book really helps you realize what you're seeing at your LYS. Be prepared to learn a lot. This book is fascinating
This is a great book for knitters and fiber lovers. It gives you a look into the fascinating world of sheep breeds and the different types of wool produced by various breeds. There are also projects that will help you understand how to use wool yarns from different to best advantage.

As a shepherdess, spinner, felter, knitter & crocheter I CANNOT get enough of this book. It is very useful and easy to navigate.
