Solid receiver with lots of features
I am satisfied with my purchase, the only thing I found is that the phono input doesn't work. Other than that it is a very good deal. This receiver has the most features of any Kenwood receiver I have seen. I like the fact that it can be controlled comfortably without a remote, i'm able to access almost all features by using the front panel. It powers my speakers with ease and has good frequency response across the spectrum. Since I use it a lot I am familiar with it's capabilities and am cautious not to push the envelope of power. The volume control is sensitive to the touch and must be handled gently. A GREAT value for a 20 year old home theater!
The VR-507 I ordered was to replace the one I have owned for 20 yrs because the remote on the one I have doesn’t work. Unfortunately, the order was cancelled by the shipper for “out of stock.” I have enjoyed the VR 507 in every way. Ease of use, killer sound quality and overall performance, except that the remote hasn’t worked for many years. good reciever
the unit is exactly as it would have been when new. today's AV recievers are more useful with the 4K TV's then this unit could ever be, however I purchased this for the phono input only. if analog sources is what you need this mid grade unit will be a good find.

Must buy for a first home theater setup or second room setup
This is my first 5.1 receiver, its pretty simple to operate even without a remote control which is a plus. I consider myself to be a audiophile with my major two channel system consisting of brands such as Meridian etc. But i wanted a no frills simple 5.1 receiver to get the job done, and it does
