Leading man in training Lucas Black stars as sensitive rebel Sean Boswell, who, despite hailing from the poor section of town, vamps up his used car to drag race against the best of them. After numerous racing challenges won--including one against his high school's popular, wealthy quarterback--Boswell gets in trouble with the law one too many times. To escape confinement to a juvenile detention center, Boswell's military father ships him all the way across the world, to that most futuristic, tech-savvy of cities, Tokyo. There, he meets his match in the powerful, cruel D.K. (Brian Tee), who is not only the car racing star of the Japanese underground, but also related to several dangerous Yakuzas (gangsters). Complicating matters is Sean's undeniable (and mutual) attraction to D.K.'s gorgeous girlfriend Neela (Nathalie Kelly). The racing style, he soon learns, is very different in this strange land--a practice known as "drifting" that is more elegant and virtuostic than American-style demolition. Yet if anyone can take on D.K. and his band of Yakuza yeomen, it's this racecar rebel. All the pieces of the action movie puzzle, including sexy stars, nonstop action, and heart-stopping thrills, combine with a stylish aesthetic and energetic soundtrack to make another fine addition to a fantastic franchise. And director Lin is adept at rendering Tokyo a full-dimensional, culturally rich location, rather than a video game backdrop.

A New Twist for the Fast and the Furious
I have an 11 year old son who is very into 'tricking' out cars and a 32 year old husband who is much the same. I knew we were buying this DVD without ever having to read the box. We had all seen the first two in the series. I enjoyed the storyline of the underdog good guy who wants to save the day and get the pretty girl. Shawn is a likeable character and not bad looking either. Nela is a very likeable character but at times leaves you wondering why she doesn't make up her own mind sooner. Hahn is standout and his role in the movie brought everything together. Twinkie was great comic relief and was truly believable. The world of Tokyo Drift is mesmerizing and addictive. The final word is that the cars are superbly tricked out, the races are incredible, the characters and story ... This is a little kids movie
Ya!!! lots of car crashes, because little kids can't drive. Lots of tiny bopper girls, walking around like they're all that. i wasted my money on this movie. The only part that was some what good, was the Mustang in the last race. I own two Mustangs and would NEVER put a jap engine in a classic car. What kind of idiot puts a 6 cylinder where a 427 V8 belongs. This is a nut job movie, aimed at the 15 year old dumb teanager.Ya!!! lots of car crashes, because little kids can't drive. AWESOME
My husband, my daughter, and myself, love these movies, it's got great action, great cars, and Super actors, I recomend this movie and all the others that go with it. It's a 4 movie story, that keeps you guessing, and just a hint watch the xtras it gives you hints and time lines between each actor and previews that follow each movie. Also watch the 4th before the 3rd, for some reason the producers wanted to trick the viewers and put the 3rd before the 4th to make sure we where paying attention. Fantastic
I have all of the Fast & Furious movies. However I seem to have lost or misplaced the Tokyo Drift which is my favorite. I’m looking forward to getting the redo of the F9 movie.

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift
When this movie came out I didn't think it was going to be as good as the first two in the series cause none of the main characters were in it. But I was wrong. I rented it, liked the story line, then bought it. It is full of action packed adrenaline excitment that keeps you in suspense waiting for more. The new actors for the characters make the whole story come together, and of course the short clip at the end where Dom is going to drift race Sean just makes you wish there was more to the end of the movie. This was a great movie just like the first two in this series and I would recomment it to anyone that loves fast tricked out cars.When this movie came out I didn't think it was going to be as good as the first two in the series cause none of the main characters were in it.
