Superb book....how can it not be...it's Ann Pitman!!! Excellent information, detailed photos sharing a wealth of knowledge in her first, second and third editions. Going through many designers that I wasn't familiar with that has helped me associate many different pieces and findings with many pieces that were unknown in my collection. She goes into detail about different eras, different types of jewelry and the designers. It helps tremendously when trying to associate what yu have with thousands of pieces. The photographs are very nice and detailed and helps identify front and backs along with detailed description of each designer and each piece featured. If she doesn't know the designer, she does state that in the area showing the piece. If anyone is familiar with Ann Pitman's way of ... Superb book....how can it not be...it's Ann Pitman!!! These three books lead up to the exquisite and extremely hard to find and rare book of hers of the Identification book of Julian Delizza & Elster. With each book, it just gets better and better featuring vintage costume jewelry back in the day of many, many different types superior costume jewelry. Ann has been collecting vintage costume jewelry for twenty + years now, a feat which is mind boggling for any collector! Can you even imagine what her collection would be like? I have seen many changes in the collecting field over the years and for Ann, I know the largest has been one of the biggest is the collecting wave of the DeLizza and Elster jewelry that collectors call Juliana. The collecting world goes through phases where it actively seeks a specific designer or company and she shares that special info about that company as it is getting harder and harder to find, that is correct. I guarantee you won't be disappointed in her books one bit! Hoping she comes back to write more!

Through and informative
This is the best book I have found for information and direct sections of various costume jewelry pieces. The descriptions are accurate and the pictures are precise.
