great little camera

Best camcorder, under $100 in used condition, which also has 40 X optical zoom
Just bought a used one, it's 2021, 10 years after the camcorder was released. The 40 power (40X) optical zoom makes the camcorder worth the price. You can record a bird in the top of a tall tree and feel like the bird is right in front of you................................really, the camcorder only has 1 major drawback -- it records at 59 frames per second BUT plays back at 60 frames per second -- if you don't mind watching grandma speed-walking with her cane or hearing your favorite band playing a song slightly faster than it was being played live............................. there's not a better cheap camcorder on the market. Be sure to buy a larger batter and a spare larger batter (2 hours type). The 2 hour battery originally cost almost as much as the camcorder, but it appears that ... Great value and works on the Mac!
I'm no video geek, so I wanted something easy to operate but that took decent video. JVC GZ-HM30 is a basic camcorder, but it has some extras. I especially like the stabilization feature. It also works with iMovie 09 on the Mac. This little camcorder works great for my purposes! I recently took 10 minutes of video of my dad relating war experiences while holding this camcorder with my elbow propped into a very softly cushioned couch. No jerks or motions on the video because of the stabilization feature. The room was noisy, too, but the mic picked his voice up quite well, especially when I zoomed in a bit.I'm no video geek, so I wanted something easy to operate but that took decent video. Excellent camera easy to use the auto button is great excellent color
this is a keeper the sound and video quality it awesome for a low price camera just picked up a like new flee bay used one for 65.00 i re bought this camera . I*t is hard to beat for the overall price and video and stereo sound quality. I highly recommend it to anyone
