I bought the book and the CD set because it came highly recommended by someone whose opinion I value and trust. I love the CDs and believe that Gerry is definitely the Man. He reads the book to you with a pleasant voice which sounds absolutely professional. Think radio DJ or better. The topic is of great value to anyone wanting to improve their communication skills. The skills that he teaches are applicable in many areas of a person's life. He is a man that has his heart in the right place judging by his interest in teaching law to students planning to fight the battles for the under dog... Gerry knows what he is talking about. His track record at law is super impressive. His understanding of how to communicate to a jury is something every good attorney show know. I highly ... (The person that recommended the book and cassettes some time back caused a sudden surge of interest which drove the price of the cassettes up as guys scrambled to get a copy. His recommendation had them selling like hotcakes... ) I plan to keep them both for review and for further listening pleasure. I plan to go back and look at some of his other audio books.

This book reads as if you are having a converastion with the author. This book is based on self awareness and gives GREAT ADVISE on how to master "arguing". Truly this book is great for those who are new attorney's, law students, seasoned law professionals, sales people, managers of people and for anyone who has a family! This book is an easy and entertaining read, I suggest you buy it and read it!!!This book reads as if you are having a converastion with the author. This book is based on self awareness and gives GREAT ADVISE on how to master "arguing". Truly this book is great for those who are new attorney's, law students, seasoned law professionals, sales people, managers of people and for anyone who has a family! Very enlightening & refreshing. Non combatant style
Loved that it was completely different than I expected. I thought I was going to hear all sorts of ways to be manipulative and how to win no matter what. THIS WAS about winning from the heart.....even if it means you don't 'WIN' the case....you win personally by standing by your principles and sometimes by letting another person win. Recognizing when a situation is not going to change due to another's inability to see their own prejudice or acknowledge what is the RIGHT thing because they would have to question their job and possibly face making a moral decision on themselves. I highly recommend this to EVERYONE who interacts with people....family, friends...co-workers, bosses.Loved that it was completely different than I expected.
