À propos de ce produit

Product Information

A young boy weighs the pros and cons of possessing various animal appendages--such as a duck's feet, a deer's antlers, a whale's spout, an elephant's trunk, and a long, long tail--only to decide that he's better off just being himself. A zany, insightful story that beginning readers will wish to hear again and again

  • I Wish That I Had Duck Feet by Theo Lesieg

I work as a Foster Grandparent at a Primary School reading to and being read to by children in grades Pre-K through Fourth Grade. Of all the Dr. Seus "I Can Read It All By Myself" Books, this one is my very favorite. It is so easy to read to the younger children and so entertaining. I thought that I had lost my own copy of this book, so I bought another one. Now I have two copies. I'm sure my own grandchildren will enjoy this book, too.

  • I Wish That I Had Duck Feet

This is the first book I actually remember owning as a child. It obviously left a good impression on me. This book allows a child to imagine and teaches a very good moral (wishing we had things we don't, doesn't always work out well). It also teaches appreciation for our unique situation in life. I decided to buy this book because I now have two small grandchildren and think that they would enjoy this book as much as I did as a young pre-k child. I remembered so much about this book myself, and as they say tried and true is the best way to go.

  • A great value for money children's classic !!!!

A beautiful book high quality with a lovely story. I read this book to my daughters and have now purchased this copy for my 3 year old grandson who loves it. Simple language, easy to read and easily understood by the pre school child

  • arrive safely

When my son was small, our daily reading sessions usually included Dr. Seuss. This was his favorite book. He has a vivid imagination, so this book fit him to a T. As a parent, I liked the moral of the story, which is: It is best to be yourself. I can still recite most of the book from memory. I bought the book to be a "mystery reader" @ my grandchildren's school. Each week a mystery reader visits the school and reads to Pre-school through 5th grade.

  • One of my favorite 'Children's' books

I Wish That I Had Duck Feet was one of my son's favorite books when he was little (he's now turning 25). When he outgrew his children's books, I donated them to a family who could not afford many books for their child. Now I've decided to replace his favorite books for him. I just re-read this book and found myself smiling - what a great book for children of any age (even 50). Terri, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
