Each ring must contain the numbers 1-8 and each segment running into the centre of the circle and through to the opposite side of the circle must contain the numbers 1 - 8 and or course there can be no duplicate numbers! 16 x 16 Sudoku (10 included: 3 Easy, 3 Tricky, 2 Tough, and 2 Diabolical) The grid is larger at 16 x 16 and solvers must fit the letters A-F into the grid alongside the numbers 0-9. 16 x 16 Sudoku are more difficult, take more time and are more infuriating than the normal puzzles - but just as addictive!

Helpful ste-by-step puzzles with solutions and explanations.
I got started on Sudoku a few years ago by my Godson who, at the time, lived in New York City, where the logic-based numbers puzzle had been imported from Japan and was all the rage. Back home, I found that the local newspaper published a Sudoku in the daily paper, Monday through Saturday (Sunday is reserved for the big crossword). I worked my way through some basic solutions on my own, until I could reliably complete the Sudokus Monday through Wednesday in a quarter-hour. Then, with a bit of insight from my friend who runs the local coffee shop where I daily get my first cup of Joe and read the current news, I was able to also complete Friday and Saturday in under 30 minutes. However, for some reason, Thursday's Sudokus stumped me: I would get to a certain point and find myself unable to ... This book which, like the progressively more difficult Sudokus Monday-Saturday, starts with very easy-to-solve Sudokus and advances to trickier Sudokus requiring more sophisticated processes of elimination to fill in. SUDOKU FOR DUMMIES has been very helpful to me because it provides answers to each Sudoku, along with accessible, step-by-step explanations so that there is learning accompanying the sense of accomplishment.

If you LOVE Sudoku, You NEED this Book!
'Sudoku for Dummies' 3rd Edition starts you out the minute you open the book! You start learning the inner secrets of the puzzles. I was immediately impressed with all the 'number tricks' to help you solve even the most complicated puzzles. You may say you, "Already know how to solve all the 9 box puzzles - even 'the most complicated ones' with absolutely no problems"? Don't worry, once you have mastered the basic insider tricks, 'Sudoku For Dummies' has you covered. You can apply your new found knowledge to a 16 grid puzzle. Or perhaps a 16 grid with letters and numbers. Maybe a Circle Sudoku will knock you into next week. I knew I liked Sudoku puzzles before, however 'Sudoku for Dummies' elevated this to a passion. Where you cant stop think about how to solve a puzzle. It is even in ... 'Sudoku for Dummies' 3rd Edition starts you out the minute you open the book! Sudoku for the mind!
Great size to carry in my purse, car or keep in my desk drawer at work for breaks. The game of Sudoku is great for the mind in keeping it strong! I bought this one for my sister whom had never played a Sudoku game. She loves it and raves on how it challanges her brain to think.
