Gamers head back into the shadows as they take on the role of a stealthy ninja in "Tenchu Z." Designed to reward ninja-like stealth, players are encouraged to sneak up on foes and offer them a silent death. Unlike previous releases, this version gives gamers the opportunity to create their own pair of characters by using several customization options. They can choose the character’s clothing, alter its physical features, and even alter some of its skills. Players then lead their team through 50 levels of ninja action. Gamers may sneak through each environment by using a grappling hook to swing onto rooftops, or use a combination of smoke bombs, poison rice, and throwing stars to confuse and disorient the enemy.

Tenchu Z for the Xbox 360, while not as groundbreaking as the first Tenchu game for the Playstation, is still fun. The Good: Nice graphics, 50 levels, killing in stelth is always fun, Build your own character and partner, Great cutscene graphics, same gameplay as past tenchu games (good or bad depending on how you look at it). The Bad: All words spoken in japanese (with subtitles), some graphical glitches, gaurds follow same paths and thier A.I. is not on par with Metal Gear Solid games, not a great variety of weapons, story could use some work, You can run through every level and finish it quickly if you like, controls could use some work. The ugly: It gets very tiresome to have to do the same thing over and over. Same old formulae. The verdict: A good Tenchu game, just don't expect ... If you like stealth ninja games, this is it. :)
I've played all the tench games, and although the controls have changed, I still found it pretty enjoyable. Like any other tench game, it requires player to use stealth and silently kill their enemies. In this new version, however, it's a bit more realistic. You are forces to keep quiet and stay out of the light so enemies can't detect you. Although this game may make you spend quite a bit of time completing a level (due to the running and the hiding, strategizing(sp?) or you could Rambo all the way through), I still found it thoroughly enjoyable. Your mission is simple get the job done and get out,while taking out as many of them as possible. The stealth kills are amazing the weapons are just another extention of the true power of the ninja. The mutiplayer on xbox live is so fun you and four of your online buddys can team up and defeat the evil tyranny that is coming to your village. There are 50 playable levels so your wont get through all the game in one day. A Phenomenal Ninja Experience
Every criteria for this game is superb. The only downside is that it isn't backwards compatible on the xbox one yet, so if you're interested in playing it on next-gen systems go to the xbox website and vote for it. Otherwise this game is a masterpiece and quite the experience that everyone should enjoy and try at least once.

Awesome game, great for co-op play.
This is one mother of a highly underrated game. If you like stealth games, then this is a co-op gem. Some of the character-equipment unlocks require you to do the single player missions, which can be a little annoying at times (Boss fights in stealth based games, really?) But all in all this game is amazingly fun and one of the best co-op games I have played in a long time.
