It steadily and deliberately delivers the same themes shared by older Christian pictures, but it benefits from more modern visual trappings. LEFT BEHIND might also be compared to another group of films made in the 1990s that are oriented towards fundamentalist Christians. That group, like LEFT BEHIND, could be placed specifically in the Last Days sub-category.

    MUCH better than expected!

    First, I want to note that I have never read any of the books in this series. My wife and I are new Christians, and we received this as a gift from a loving family member. We sat on this movie for a few months.. mostly because I found it difficult to picture Kirk Cameron as anything but a snotty b-grade sitcom star. Boy were we wrong. This movie is about the rapture and those that are "left behind". The production quality is slightly above a B Movie, but the script and actors are so good that they were able to pull off a great film... even with what I'm sure was a very small budget. I don't want to give away too much about the movie.. I hate reading spoilers and giving them is just as bad. This movie is thought provoking and I would suspect that the majority of non-Christians will find ...

    Part 1 still better than part 2

    I had seen most of part 1 except the last 20 mins and had always want see the rest of it plus I didn't know there was a part 2, until finding it on eBay, part 2 was a little hard to fallow at first but then got back to what part 1 was about both very good movies

    What to say about Left Behind.

    I loved the books. I own almost all of them, so I couldn't wait to see the movie. Finally!! Some good Christian films!! Right? or maybe........ Positives: 1) Great story. I've realized that most great movies come from a great book. The story is definatley a winner here. 2)Christian movies are finally starting to make a splash in the movie industry. This movie deserves a positive just for that. 3)Believable cast. The acting actually had some moments where you didn't feel the cheese. That in itself is a positive. Negatives: 1)Bases on other Christian movies, Left Behind would get an A++. But based on any other movie in the market right now, Left Behind would probably get a D+ or maybe even a C. I believe that Christian movies will someday be up there with the big dogs, but right now? ...

    A cliffnote of movie left movie.

    +Based on the book series it starts out with everyone living their lives normal and complicated . But then suddenly without warning people disappear. All children are gone , and people from all walks of life accross the planet have just simply gone. The choas that comes from the rapture really makes you think about how it will actually happen. Rayford Steel is a pilot and then when people start to go missing panic occurs on his plane. Other pilots who were Christians disappeared which leads to down planes and loss of life. Chloe Steel is Ray's daughter and is driving to college and the freeways a mess. And eventually gets back to her house to find her Dad their but her little brother and her Mother (Ray's wife) are raptured. After the rapture comes the rise of the antichrist who is a very ...

    A good movie portrayal of the book

    Unlike what many people think, this movie isn't geared for christians only - you can watch it without having to read the bible religiously. Left Behind is a good movie by itself, although it's only had popularity in the religious crowds. It follows the book pretty well and has some good acting. After you watch it, you might want to read the books, because they're more exciting (as it always is). So get this DVD if you want to see a really interesting interperetation of the end of days.
