Amazing MMORPG
MMORPG games have hit mainstream, and with the overwhelming flow of new pay2play PC games hitting the shelves, sometimes it is hard to make a decision on which you want to put all your time into. Dark Age of Camelot, like any other MMORPG can and will be very time-consuming, this is not the type of game you play for 30 hours and feel as if you've done everything there is to do. As a matter of fact, I have invested well over 4,000 hours into this game and still experience new things daily. The Epic edition has all expansions included - Shrouded Isles : New lands were added, Foundations : Player housing was added, Trials of Atlantis : New areas and Artifacts (powerful weapons and armors that level up themselves )were added, along with puzzle elements to defeat bosses and the "trials", New ... MMORPG games have hit mainstream, and with the overwhelming flow of new pay2play PC games hitting the shelves, sometimes it is hard to make a decision on which you want to put all your time into. Dark Age of Camelot, like any other MMORPG can and will be very time-consuming, this is not the type of game you play for 30 hours and feel as if you've done everything there is to do. As a matter of fact, I have invested well over 4,000 hours into this game and still experience new things daily. The Epic edition has all expansions included - Shrouded Isles : New lands were added, Foundations : Player housing was added, Trials of Atlantis : New areas and Artifacts (powerful weapons and armors that level up themselves )were added, along with puzzle elements to defeat bosses and the "trials", New Frontiers : the game's specialized RvR *Realm Versus Realm* aspect was considerably updated with more individualized specs per class and realm, along with new artwork etc. , Catacombs : Graphics have a huge update, new areas, and pve (Player versus Enemy) Armors and new quests for all levels, along with the first "instanced" areas (areas that once entered, only people in your group can be seen there) added, Darkness Rising : The newest expansion which completely updates the RvR dungeon Darkness Falls, updates all artwork, adds player controlled mounts, New Epic Armors, New quests and introduces Champion Levels-There are 5 of them and allows you to subclass up to 5 levels in any other base class of your own realm. Although most of what I just explained about what each expansion included possibly didn't make much sense to you, let me just give you an overview of what Dark Age of Camelot is all about... First, you will pick a REALM, there are 3 options here - Albion-The land of King Arthur Legends, Midgard-The land based heavily on Norse mythology, and Hibernia-The land based on Celtic mythology. This is your single most important decision you will make in Dark Age of Camelot because the three realms are at constant war with each other for supremacy. I personally am a fan of Albion, but that is simply due to my own obcession with the Legends of King Arthur. Each Realm has it's own classes - meaning if you pick Albion, you will first pick a base class - A mage, Fighter, Rogue, etc. These base classes split out at level 5 so that you can pick your true class Fighters go to Mercenaries, Armsman, Paladins, Reavers. Mages go to Fire,Ice,or Earth Wizards, Sorcerors, Heretics, etc. Rogues become the stealthy and invisible Scouts or Infiltrators. Of course I did not name all the classes, but you get the idea. Each Realm has their own classes and although some are somewhat similiar it is only by a bit, and every single class feels completely different. Of course you also get to customize your physical appearance how you see fit, and thanks to the new graphics engine, it has excellent options now. So what will you be doing in the game you ask? Well Dark Age of Camelot features so many different things to do in-game that it is unlikely you will become bored for a long, long time. From massive dragon raids, to heading for your trials of Atlantis, to Fighting against the other Realms, everything you do in this game you will get rewarded for. Overall, if you have some free time on your hands and want a rewarding videogame experience, you must check out this title, your first month is free, and after that, you only pay around 13 a month-worth it!

Decent game still after years and years
I decided to purchase the epic edition because I was in the mood to play something besides WOW and EQ2. I had played Daoc when it first came out and then quit after about 2 1/2 years. Upon returning, I found that the game was still appealing. Daoc in my opinion has the best PVP(RVR) system. I like the fact that you can exp in complete safety or venture out into the frontier for better exp but more risk. However it didn't seem as ricky this time around as the population is not what it was years ago. It is very easy to level up in Daoc due to the catacombs expansion. You basically just keep running these small instanced dungeons that scale to your level. They are good exp but very boring. You can also run instanced dungeons off the main dungeons which yeild Arulite. You can turn Aurulite ... Also a key feature in darkage if your current with the addons for the game is the free level. As you level in game you can earn a free level and this works all the way up to level 47 where the last free level can be used to get you level 48 if it shows your able to get free level. There are so many different things to cover still like player crafted items , that are from things like spellcrafting ,weapon crafting and a few others. The people who play Darkage Of Camelot are some of the nicest player's around . Also finding a good size guild on whatever server you play on will always help verry well . You will have other's to talk with , do thing's to level , or do some realm vs realm with your guildmates . Last thing after testing out some of the other great online games out there i will say to whoever is checking into getting Darkage Of Camelot Epic Edition would be go for it . Like a few other's have said Darkage Of Camelot has been around for a good while now ,but has no doubt the best realm vs realm action around . Also keeps on seeing new players comming to the game from other game's such as everquest 2 .

DAoC vs. WoW
Dark Age of Camelot is the best mmorpg that I have found available. I've tried WoW and didn't care for the game. Too many things in WoW are WAY too similar to Dark Age. If I'm going to pay to play one or the other, I'm going with the one that I have invested so much time in that I can't even begin to count the hours. Albion, Hibernia, and Midgard...I play all three realms. With the new Labyrinth of the Minotaur expansion (available online when you activate your account or can be purchased @ your local gaming store in the Dark Age of Camelot 5th Anniversary Edition) Mythic/EA (yes, EA bought out Mythic Entertainment) have opened up even more areas for you to explore....the mysterious Laybrinth. The Labyrinth has Player vs Enemy fighting as well as Realm vs Realm fighting ((PvE, RvR)) If ... Dark Age of Camelot is the best mmorpg that I have found available. I enjoy the whole idea of the game which allows you to do different things throughout. Its an A for gaming from me.
