The final season of THE GOLDEN GIRLS features the quartet of lovely ladies that audiences adore. Delightfully ditzy Rose (Betty White), lascivious Blanche (Rue McClanahan), snarky Dorothy (Bea Arthur), and her frankly hilarious mother Sophia (Estelle Getty) are roommates in Miami, Florida. For seven years, this hilarious sitcom showed that life doesn't end with eligibility for the senior discount. Season seven saw a number of great guest stars, including Leslie Nielsen, Merv Griffin, and Alex Trebek. Nielsen played Blanche's uncle and Dorothy's groom-to-be in the two-part series finale, "One Flew Out of the Cuckoo's Nest." Men come and go in the lives of these women (particularly Blanche), but their enduring friendship is the core of the series.

The Greatest Sitcom of All Time
The final season of The Golden Girls - the greatest season of the greatest television comedy ever created. The dynamic among the characters is unrivaled and rarely does a show last for 7 seasons without losing an actor. But these women stayed for the duration, and the creators and network were smart enough to know that when one character leaves (as was the case with Bea Arthur), you don't attempt to maintain the same format. The spin-off did not work, which ultimately proved that the cast needed all of them, and it was just a reminder of how magical this unit of actresses really was. Season 7 is the greatest of them all. There may never be another show like this again - and they just never get old. I've rewatched them more times than I can count, and you will, too. Buy the original set if ... "Just like new"
I'm very pleased with my used item, it is in very good condition, the picture is as clear as a new video. I would very much like to buy more. The cover had a little torn place, it just need a little piece of clear tape, I'm so very satisfied with my purchase. Thanks!

Still Funny!
The dvd's are pretty good, however on couple of the episodes, the magnification of the screen goes in and out. It's annoying but not a deal breaker since it only happend on 2 or 3 episodes for a short bit. Other than that, I love having the whole series of the Golden Girls. They still make us laugh after all these years!

The Golden Girls
The Golden Girls - What is left to be said about The Golden Girls that hasn't already been said by SOMEONE out there. I know when the program came out younger people thought it wasn't' for them or their children (I know because I was one of them.) But speaking from experience, I have found that ALL ages LOVE it! As I got older and could watch it without exposing it to my children and I LOVED IT! It was like having friends over to talk to and learn from. When my daughters and niece got older they watched it with me and also LOVE IT (which surprised me but we all enjoyed watching it together.) Then as I've even gotten older and became a Grandmother, I found that my grandchildren loved it as well. It became a daily ritual for us all to make sure we all got together to watch our "Golden ... The Golden Girls - What is left to be said about The Golden Girls that hasn't already been said by SOMEONE out there. For 15 years now I've been watching The Golden Girls and anyone that's come in contact with me also have fallen in love with these women. They have so much to teach us, over and over again. The program was like a psychology course in life's morals and lessons. They have covered so many real life situations and try to teach us how to deal with them. Anyone that doesn't watch them is losing a lot out of life's education. The writers of The Golden Girls were very insightful the way they brought it all together and could do it week after week. To be that intelligent, clever and knowledgeable in life must be quite an accomplishment and a blessing for all of them. We still need programs like The Golden Girls to teach us the things we don't know how to handle in life when it crosses our path. I think this program has something for EVERYONE!

This show is one that I watch EVERY SINGLE DAY on Lifetime. Now, when I'm home in the afternoons, I can watch it as often as I want since I now own the complete boxset. This is an all time favorite of many people out there. Who doesn't enjoy sitting around talking about men, sex, and life while eating a cheesecake? From the first time I saw this show until now it's been my favorite. The wit, the sarcasm, the sadness, the happy times, the comedy, it's just everything you could ask for in a television series and it's all right here in a complete boxset! I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to have a great time and share some tears and laughs with friends.
