Installed on a 2012 Elantra
Installed on a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. The instructions showed that it was pretty easy which it would have been if I did just a simple run of wires and mounting camera using the license plate adapter. There was also another mounting adapter that was included to use as a dash cam instead of a backup camera. I used the dash cam adapter and attached it to the back up camera dummy hole cover located above the license plate. I lowered the trunk lid liner and ran the wires over to the left back up light and spliced into it. Actually I went to a U-pull it yard and cut the backup light connector and made a small harness to plug into the backup light connector so I wouldn't have to actually cut into the harness wires. Then I ran the wires down the trunk hinge and down the inside of the wheel fender ... Installed on a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. To mount the rearview mirror monitor I lowered the left front part of the headliner and ran the wires above the headliner and down the drivers side corner cowl to the same fuse panel. I just had this kit installed in my car. For a universal kit, it's pretty nice. Two things I will mention but it's not a big deal - When you go into reverse, it will take 1 to 2 seconds for the screen to come on. - On my car (2014 Mustang) the mirror looks good, but it sits lower and the way the mirror is mounted to the windshield, there is a wobble due to a gap between the mounts (the piece the mirror mounts to and the actual mirror mount that slips over the piece attached to the windshield, in my car it's a metal tab). So when you go to adjust the mirror, it will shift around and a little loose, but it is adjustable. IT'S A UNIVERSAL KIT... so don't expect a custom and tight fit but you can fix the wobble. The kit comes with different attachments for different cars. So there is ... I just had this kit installed in my car. For a universal kit, it's pretty nice. You could probably take a piece of a zip tie or a toothpick and kinda jam it in and take away the gap and that should take the wobble away and make things solid.... but it's not that big of a deal to me, so I'll fix it later when I have a toothpick and 5 seconds :) Over all the product is pretty nice, the power button on the mirror can lighten and darken the video in the mirror, and it has auto dim. When I had mine installed, the camera was in reverse.... left was right and right was left. So make sure it's installed correctly so when you go to back up, you don't get confused and possibly hit something. The minor issues stated earlier are not a big deal... don't let it make a bad impression on you. Worst part is that you have to wait 2 seconds for the display to come on once you go into reverse.

Great Product for after market install
This was installed on a 2011 Honda Accord Ex without navigation. This item was relatively easy enough to install. While a few additional wire connectors were needed for a clean secure installation everything else was in the box. Nice OEM feel to the rear-view mirror. My only draw back would be that sometimes in very bright sunlight the camera image in mirror can be a little hard to see.
