Product Information

Though based on a romantic storyline in which the ultimate goal is to win the heart of a beautiful young woman, this Nintendo DS launch title from Sega's Sonic Team is more of an action puzzle collection than a dating sim. In the role of a love-struck lad (and with the help of a professional troupe of bunny-eared performers), players vie for the fair maid's affections through a series of weird, quirky, fast-paced mini-games, not completely different from the collection found in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! Unlike the one-button fun of Nintendo's GBA hit, however, the various mini-games in Feel the Magic are designed to make good use of the DS' different input and control options. Players will interact through the touch screen, and even blow into the microphone, to conquer quick challenges and progress in their amorous quest.

Feel the Magic : XY/XX (Nintendo DS)
Likes: Ok its not an ordinary game where theres a real plot and all. You just have fun with a lot of mini games and watch the scenes as a boy chases a girl. The mini-games are fun, maybe addictive (for a certain few), and the use of the touchscreen here is fabulous. Since majority of the game is touch-based, you really will have to work on that for the entire game, whether its rubbing, pressing, or carefully guiding your stylus somewhere. Dis-Likes: Well...the mini-games do get somewhat boring, and the game is rather short. However, adding three modes of difficulty does bring more options since you unlike more clothing for Maniac mode (Option to dress the female in the game). Game play might be a little harsh on your DS since some of them require a lot of rubbing or fast poking. Other ... Likes: Ok its not an ordinary game where theres a real plot and all. Certainly fun and makes good use of the DS's design!
Kind of basic and adolescnet, maybe but at least fun for a little whie. Way more fun than you read about and although basically a fast twitch type of game the funky storyline and character along with the fanboy ooo's and ah's from the magic girl are weirdly funny and entertaining. Not sure about replay value once you finish it, I'm still getting through it myself but, it is worth a look. Here's hoping that more game maker's take the chalenge of DS game design up even further. The future could be bright, if not fun in the short-term! Graphics/visuals --- --- Bright and goofy with an old school comic book feel. Sound/Music --- --- Definitely old school and very Japanese flavored. Originality --- --- if you want something different and very DS oriented this is (hopefully) the first of ... Entertaining for the most part
I wanted this game because it seemed like a fun rhythm game, but it's not quite that. It's more about completing the tasks to get to the next level, but you cannot save a profile, or erase one. It just takes you through the game on its own. Although it wasn't what I expected, it's actually kind of entertaining. It doesn't take a lot of brain power or strategy, or even rhythm for that matter. Seems like a good game for a pre-teen.I wanted this game because it seemed like a fun rhythm game, but it's not quite that.
