need high ceiling for two cars
The parking system works as advertised. It doesn't look very sturdy as it completely plastic, but it does the job. Very easy to install ... I am using it only with the supplied AC adapter. I'm not sure why you would need batteries in the unit anyway, as if you have an electric garage door opener and the power is out, it's not like you will need this to operate anyway. The unit is pretty small, thus the lasers are spaced very close to one another. If you only have an 8 or 10 foot garage high roof, this is not going to work for two cars as you won't be able to aim the lasers wide enough for two cars. If you have a low roof, I would either buy two of these units, or two one laser units. My garage roof is about 20 feet high so I had no problems aiming it for two cars. You want to place ... You want to place it in between where the two cars will be parked. The cord on the adapter is about five feet long, so you'll need a two pronged extension cord if you are going to have unit farther away from your power source. If you are going to install it, you want it to be within about six feet above where the beam will eventually shine down, but obviously you can aim it wherever you want. The motion sensor should obviously be facing towards the door and unobstructed so it can see movement when you drive into the garage. I have a beam right across the top of my garage so I placed it on the door side beside the beam attached to the roof and I could still easily aim the lasers at the two cars.

Good product, but consider the pitfalls

In order to service two vehicles, the laser needs to strike a place in each vehicle that is appropriate. In practice, this is not simple. The only way to make it work correctly is to mount it high up (roof height) and forward of the windshields of the vehicles. The lasers have limited lateral adjustment so lower mounting (on the door operator, for example) will not allow sufficient spread. Once located above the vehicles as shown in the packaging picture, it'll work fine. Sadly, you'll have wires trailing across the roof from the outlet but a few adhesive cable holders will fix that. Wall mounting, etc. is inelegant and probably would not ... The unit is exactly as advertised, works fine and is good value at eBay prices. Minor defect with big-time effect
Device is advertised as a 2-car laser parking system. It has 2 laser beams. But unless you have a garage with cathedral ceiling, this device cannot guide in 2 cars with identical accuracy. If you exchange parking positions you also won't be able to depend on it. The laser beams don't spread/point out far enough to work with 2 cars. We have a narrow garage so I placed a marker on my wife's car to help her park in the same/exact spot all the time. With the laser beams spread out to max, her marker wound up on the dashboard passenger side. In my car, it wound up right on top of the instrument cluster. Ideally the markers of both our car should be in the same approx spot so we can use this system even if we exchanged spots but no-can-do. The laser beams simply don't spread/point out ... limited adjustment
bought a new one a couple of days ago, laser beams are ok, but adjustment are very limited!!!! I do have a high ceiling garage and even moving it the farthest possible is still not enough adjustment for my two vehicles. also you have to have it plugged in, otherwise will burn batteries in literally "1 DAY" price was right but will not recommend it and will not buy again!!!!

Two laser parking assists for the price of one!
Bought this model because I have two stalls and didn't want to buy 2x parking assist units. Great savings, 2x for the price of one, and the motion sensor works great. Would recommend!
