Limited four vinyl LP pressing. Digitally re-mastered edition of the Alt-Rock quartet's 1995 career-defining double album. Originally released October 24, 1995, the album would debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified 9x platinum by the RIAA. It yielded major hits like "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" the band's unlikely first Top 40 hit the exquisite "1979" and epic "Tonight, Tonight" as well as a thoroughly inspired series of videos. Produced by Billy Corgan, Flood and Alan Moulder, the album would also earn a Grammy Award (1996 Best Hard Rock Performance for "Bullet with Butterfly Wings") as well as seven nominations. Beyond the more obvious hits, though, Mellon Collie is a song cycle of unusual depth and considerable range. It is a collection of stunningly beautiful moments when everything lined up-a moment in time that's still here to be treasured.

    Well worth the expense

    Very rare and hard to find box set of an epic album. My daughter absolutely loves it and it takes me back to great times 20 years ago!

    Great

    I usually don't buy remasters on vinyl, but I had heard good things about this release. My copy is great and it really brings out the great elements that can sometimes get lost in the heavy distortion of certain tracks, at least compared to the original CD release. A lot of remasters have a generic compressed sound, but this one seems to pop more.

    Pricey but oh so worth it!

    This is hands down the most beautiful album I own, definitely worth the high price tag. I held off buying it because of the price, but it is near inpossible to find on original vinyl and much more expensive if you do. It is an absolutley beautiful set, super high quailty finishes and materials throughout. It sounds outstanding, no regrets here.

    Love the Smashing Pumpkins

    In my opinion this is a 5 star product because it's difficult to find & my daughter love's the Smashing Pumpkins. This will be a surprise special gift for her. If you are a Smahing Pumpkins fan this is the box set to get!

    Great special edition

    Great collection of 4 vinyls with excellent sound. The books with the lyrics, pictures and art are amazing. I'm more than satisfied with the product.
