Awesome product, Great price!
First the up side, I have to tell you I did my homework before buying this phone, so I was really concerned about the battery life issues I read about. I charged it as soon as I received it and and left it on overnight (total of 21 hours approx.) Now I never clock tested the battery life, but I have a 13 year old who is on the phone very predictably from 3:00pm - 9:00pm, plus my phone usage throughout the day and I have yet to even hear my low battery indicator. The slim design of the phone really is just as impressive when you receive it and it's still easily held between my ear and shoulder. The speakerphone is crystal clear and goes loud enough to really travel around the house while talking. Since the speaker is on the handset, not the base, you can easily pick it up and take ... When a caller allows the answering machine to pick up, a message is registered, regardless of whether or not they stay on the phone up until/after the beep. I had 99 (Full Capacity) messages one day, 3/4 of which were blank. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase, especially for the price.

Nice phone
Easy to se up, easy to use. Light weight handset is perfect, the base unit has red lights, which do not interfere with sleeping. Old phone was so bright I had to cover it just to fall asleep Everything I need is available, an answering machine, a cordless phone, and enough options not overwhelming.

Best Phone Ever Owned
This phone has great sound quality and the fact that it is WiFi safe is a huge plus. Vtech 6042 DECT phone uses the 1.9Ghz bandwidth which is newer to the US. 2.4 and 5.8 cannot match the sound clarity and the distance this phone has. The style the phone looks sleek and modern compared to other phones on the market which tend to all look the same. The speaker phone feature on the phone is also a huge plus. People can hear you perfectly and they don't even know they are on speaker phone. IE no echo, background noise, etc. Overall it's a great phone and if you are looking to upgrade your current phone, check the Vtech brand out, just make sure you charge the battery for at least 16hrs before using it. Vtech VT-6000 Series Cordless Phones are Winners!
Since buying a three-phone set, model Vtech VT-6043, we have purched two more sets, a one line for downstairs and another two-line set. Each set has its own frequency, but there is absolutely no interference. In fact we live in a fairly noisy electromagnetic environment with interference noticible on our radio and TV. The Vtech phones are not affected at all and give one of the cleanest signals you can hear on cordless phones. The styling is what sold me from the start. The thin lines and illuminated flush keyboard is a very modern looking style and fits nicely in the hand. The buttons light up well for easy dialing. The answering machine is easy to set up and gives very clear feedback. We do not use a lot of fancy features with the home phones, and have found all six of our handsets to ... Cordless Phone
We are very happy with the phone. It is lightweight and easy to use. It has a lot of features we like and we pulled up the user guide on the Internet to figure everything out. Very inexpensive too.
