Sniper: Ghost Warrior is a high-definition first-person shooter, with a modern military theme and realistic presentation. The game focuses exclusively on the role of a long-range sniper, in various battle situations. A sophisticated physics model accounts for ballistic factors such as falloff over long distances and the effects of wind speed and direction. Players also manage their shooter's positioning and breathing, to squeeze off the perfect shot at the right time. An up-close "bullet cam" allows gamers to follow their shot to its target. They work with a small squad of spotters and other snipers, in some scenarios.<br><br>As the story goes, commandos in an elite squad have been sent to a South American island. This small country has been taken over by a military dictator. Missions have players supporting a rebel movement set on overthrowing the oppressive government and restoring democracy. Missions are set in thick, tropical, South American jungles.

It's "OK", . . .
A lot of extra thought was put into the play of the game, and for that I will give excellent credit, . . . little things like people moving around in typical military fashion, . . . chickens wandering around cackling softly, . . . etc. but the constant "water noise" in the background when there is no water is a distraction. Additionally, I did not care for having to "sign up" or not be able to use the product I paid good money for, . . . and then having to endure a 5 hour download of the program itself. Then when I did get it, . . . all the introduction screens are upside down and in black and white, . . . giving rise to the thought that it was hastily thrown together by some programmer who just didn't care, . . . get it out. The game is kind of fun to play, . . . but there is one ... There are times when a gamer simply has to stop for some extraneous reason, . . . the programmers did not provide that option. Also, . . . some of the keys do not work in the PC version as advertised. Would I buy it again, . . . knowing what I know now? No.

Hold Ctrl and press F to search and enter "device presence" 3. Right click "emulated" and click "modify". change "value data" to the number 0. 4. do the exact same thing with "VxD" and "WDM" except make sure their values are set to "1" instead of 0. Now under start- run- dxdiag, click on the "sound" tab and make sure the "hardware sound acceleration level" is set to "full acceleration". Anyway, after completeing the reg sound fix, I fired up the game, and played for a while. While it was a little better than Rouge warrior(see my review on that), I gotta say this game did not hold my attention for very ... All in all, this game didn't grab me as some others I have played, and trust me, I have played a lot of shooter games in my day. If you are into games of this genre, and you can get sound in game, and you don't mind some of the bugs that come along with it, I say buy it. If not, save your money.

Sloppy, poorly made game. Not what you would expect a in a "sniping" game.
I bought this game becasue I got kind-of bored with the fps I own now, and since I enjoy sniping in fps games I decided I would give this a try. Unless you are starving for entertainment, then do.not.buy.this.game. 2 words: half-assed. The AI is horrible in every way, shape or form AI could be. The game invites you in saying its "dynamic", with "huge, detailed" envionrments. While the jungle envionrment is lush, the ENTIRE GAME is just run and gun, with maps that are so linear it makes pac-man look like half-life. There are MANY glitches. Every once in a while you will hit an invisible wall. For example you will be crawling along, and all of a sudden, you stop. For no reason. You will be walking along in a map, and you will get stuck randomly without notice or reason. Yeah the game has ... I bought this game becasue I got kind-of bored with the fps I own now, and since I enjoy sniping in fps games I decided I would give this a try. As I said, if youre bored and want to try something new youre better off just downloading the torrent instead of wasting your money.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior PC game
This game is the most realistic sniper game out there. It was bullet drop, windage, spin drift, and shooting angles, that all have to be accounted for when makeing your shot. Great graphics, and story line. It was gots of fun to play. Now for the dislikes! I wanted to see some longer shots. The longest shot I was able to find was only 536 yards. Yes this is a long ways, but in real life a sharp shooter makes shots like this to zero his scope. Also on the game Sniper Elite there you get multi shots at over 1300yards. Also I would like to see more missions that dont hurry you along. But all and all the game is excellent!! You get to shot birds out of the air, blow-up barrels of fuel, and even shot out power lines to enemy camps.o do it all again. GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it!! I ... Super game. Decent price. Fast delivery.
The game is very good if you like 1st person shooter games. The graphics are pretty nice,too. I am running it on a 4 core AMD Phenom II with 16 gig memory, but I only have a 1 gig video card (Zotac 9500 GT) and it performs quite well. Have not experienced any problems with the game. The only thing I don't like is having to sign up for a Steam account in order to play the game. I am not an online game player. That's the reason it gets 4 instead of 5 rating.The game is very good if you like 1st person shooter games. The graphics are pretty nice,too.
