If you want to turn your bass guitar into a synth, you now can with the Electro-Harmonix Bass Micro Synthesizer analog micro synth effects pedal. This pedal can deliver all your bass's synth needs from chunky analog to the signature synth sounds of your favorite musicians. Electro-Harmonix made this micro synth sound pedal to provide the same fat, synthesized textures that electric guitars produce from bass guitars. It can boast the same set of features as the EHX micro synths for electric guitar music, and then it adds a trigger and a filter sweep range designed specifically for basses. This vintage Electro-Harmonix piece of gear can be a miniature analog synthesizer for your bass.This micro synth has a 10 slider interface to allow for creative diversity and infinite tonal ranges. The slider furthest to the left on the unit controls the trigger. Following that are four voice mix sliders, individually controlling the sub octave, the guitar, the octave up, and the square wave. The square wave tone can also be used to create distortion effects. These are followed by a single attack delay slider that lets you fade in tones. The four filter sweep sliders complete the row, controlling the resonance, the start frequency, the stop frequency, and the rate. The adjustable rates on these sliders can give you full control over their speed and their direction. All 10 of these sliders can let you modify their respective levels between 0 and 10. A simple footswitch lets you activate and deactivate the EHX analog synthesizer.When you experiment with different pickup selector positions, the EHX micro synths can let you produce a variety of classic bass sounds. You can enjoy familiar sounds like mini Moog, sequential circuits, fuzz, backward fuzz, auto wah, fretless, bowed, percussive Moog, dub, and neutral. In addition, you can invent an endless variety of your own original, cool sounds. The unit is crafted with true bypass circuitry to keep tonal degradation at bay when it is not in use. When the footswitch is deactivated, the pedal’s audio circuitry doesn't interfere with the purity of your bass's sound. These effect pedals feature an all analog design with three pole resonant filters.This tank tough pedal in a die cast chassis can be just right to take with you to gigs or the studio. This road worthy unit measures 4.75 inches wide by 5.75 inches long by 2.5 inches high. On the right side is a single input port, and on the left side is a single output port. A convenient indicator light on the face of the unit lets you know the gear is powered and functioning. In terms of accessories, this Electro-Harmonix micro synthesizer comes with its own 96DC-200BI power supply included in the box.These vintage Electro-Harmonix micro synth pedals can work great with a compressor foot pedal strung in front of them for extra sustain. The units also work well with a delay foot pedal strung after them to provide added space and dimension. These many options can allow you to blend your sound seamlessly with the tones of electric guitars, acoustic guitars, keyboards, and drums. You can get the sounds you want with this music accessory.

    Thousands of sounds for a small price to pay.

    I got this pedal because it produces so many different sounds. The sounds you can produce on this thing are endless. Only thing about this pedal is that you will have to spend some time trying to figure out how to use it because of all the different controls but if purchased brand new you will find a set of instructions and settings they have set up for you to get familiar with the device. Other than getting familiar with it, It's and absolutely great peace of gear to add to the collection. Highly recommended. 5 our of 5 skull rating!

    Best analog bass synth pedal

    After playing for more that 30 years and owning loads of stompboxes I think this is THE best bass pedal. It has loads of different sounds, it can do funk autowah, dubstep growls, imitate strings with attack delay etc etc etc. Go listen for some demos on youtube. It was designed back in the 70's and this is the sound you hear on classic records. It is 100% analog and there's not one bad sound in it. It always sounds fat, with lots of character and texture. Love it. Now don't you think I'm overexcited? There are some negative sides, let's start. First, being analog it's not able to do all the extremes some digital synths are capable of. The tracking is always an issue with synths. There's no latency, but it tracks only single notes, chords generate all sorts of strange effects (that some ...

    Buy with mindfulness.

    It is good. If you think that by you buying this pedal, the world will be a better place. And not just because you will have the pedal, but by playing sweet music, the world will be sweeter, then I recommend mindfully and respectfully buying this pedal.

    the best of the bass synth pedals

    the best of the bass synth pedals,simple hands on design and solid construction.this pedal was used on countless records in the late 70's and early 80's and with good reason.fat sound and tracks really well.the only downside is you can't store presets because of it's analog design but to me it's worth it to have the the ability to shape your sound on the fly
