  • Slightly Dated But Still Comprehensive

This is a book with a lot of great content. As usual with this series, the book is written in a manner to be engaging for someone with very little previous experience. This book walks you through basic maintenance such as cleaning your bike and lubricating your drive train. The book also includes more advanced topics such as wheel truing. Each chapter is written as stand-alone, so you can look in the table of contents, find the relevant section, and read everything you need to know on the topic. As is the norm with Dummies books, this book has plenty of pictures showing the individual steps of many of the more complicated repairs. This book is a little limited on the subjects of disk brakes (nothing about hydraulic) and carbon fiber frames, but it is still a great book for anyone ...

  • My hybrid mountain bike needs maintenance.

I'm not/not a Bicycle mechanic/technician, but this book will be a good start to give me knowledge on the subject.
