À propos de ce produit

Product Information

With the Wii, Nintendo has proven that it is possible for gamers to stay fit while gaming. "Active Life: Outdoor Challenge" is a Nintendo Wii game designed to get you off the couch and into a more active lifestyle. The Active Life series from Namco Bandai Games incorporates both fitness and fun into video games. "Active Life: Outdoor Challenge" fully utilizes the immersive, physical gameplay capabilities of the original Wii. Through a combination of the game mat and your Wii remote, you experience a variety of outdoor fitness adventures. Like many Nintendo games, this video game is sure to bring fun to your whole family. This video game features three different modes for you to choose from. Outdoor Adventure mode takes you through a series of mini-games and grades you on your performance. Select the level of difficulty from easy, intermediate, and hard. Outdoor Adventure mode is the key to unlocking other games, modes, and styles of play. Free Play mode enables you to access any unlocked mini-game on its own. Exercise mode allows you to use different games based on the type of workout you want to experience, even creating your own custom workout routine. The 32.5-inch by 36.5-inch mat and Wii remote accessories give you the ultimate Wii experience while keeping you fit and healthy. You also earn points in each mini-game to check your activity levels each day. As you earn more points, your character’s physical appearance also changes. Using a mat in the style of "Dance Dance Revolution" that also serves as the game's controller, you get your heart pumping through a dozen outdoor-themed mini-games. Some of these include river rafting, log jumping, and mine cart racing. To play most of them, you must jump, run, or use a variety of hand gestures and foot movements to control each event. These mini-games improve your hand-eye coordination and provide aerobic exercise. For simple yet sweat-inducing exercise, this game also contains preset routines for endurance, reflexes, and general body strength. Furthermore, you exercise and game at the same time with your friends, since it supports head-to-head and cooperative multiplayer modes. Wii players of all ages have a blast while engaging their entire bodies in these mini-games. You only need one mat for multiplayer and you can import your Mii characters as well. Compete with other players in thrilling mine cart, kayak, or foot races. If you're not up for competing, game cooperatively with your friends by working together to meet goals. Live out your extreme sports fantasies with the Mountain Boarder and Pipe Slider games. Spend some time playing jump rope with your friends. The variety of gaming adventures to choose from ensures you never get tired of playing and working out. This "Outdoor Challenge" Wii game is perfect for kids and adults of all ages.

  • Play together, stay together! Good FAMILY Fun.

If you like Wii Fit, this is similar but you do a lot of jumping in this one. If you are put effort into it, you'll burn calories & have fun. The mat (32.5”x36.5” wide) has a 10' long cord that plugs into the first gamecube controller port. Would have been nice if it were wireless. You can play as your own Mii & keep track of your progress via graphs, etc. wh There are a lot of different games and levels, so I will list the games & what is involved. This info is taken from the instruction booklet that comes with it-with bits of my own info thrown in. ** indicates a game can be played either in single or multi-player mode. **TIMBER TRAIL: Run as fast as you can while jumping over and dodging logs. MOLE STOMPER: Try to quickly hit all of the moles as they appear. KAYAK ATTACK: Go ...

  • Fun for the whole family!

My family and I LOVE this game! It gets all of us off the couch, and competing against each other like crazy! There are levels ranging from easy to difficult so it's enjoyable for all. It also has become part of my daily exercise routine, along with Wii Fit and Dance Dance Revolution, as there are several different exercise modes in Outdoor Challenge. I highly recommend this game, and the other two Wii titles I just mentioned to anyone looking to stay in shape and have fun doing it. We live in New England and the weather does not permit time outside for MONTHS at a time. This game is one good way to avoid the extra winter pounds!

  • Active Life: Outdoor Challenge (must have)

This is a great game fun for all ages. I have a 3 year old nephew that loves and can understand the game. Now he can play the Wii! Whenever my wife and I's friends get together we grab this game and we are all around 35. Active life makes another game to go with the pad so it opens more use for the pad. Unlike the balance board you run on, jump on, and hit the pad which is great for the younger kids and us forgetful adults. There are only 2 problems with it. 1 the pad likes to move around the floor and it is attached to the Wii so you need to adjust it often. 2 with the Super Mario Brothers download you need to disconnect the pad or the controller doesn't work (It ay do it with others as well but I am not sure). All and all not major problems that should discourage somebody from getting ...

  • Really Great for Getting Active

I've been trying desperately to get my kids to be more active. It's been a particularly hot summer, though, and my oldest HATES to be hot, and whatever he does, his little brother does his best to emulate. Alas, I found myself in search of active, indoor pursuits that wouldn't involve sitting, trance-like, in front of an electronic device. Enter this game. My sons took it out of the box, and had it up and running, by themselves, in minutes. Now I can't tear them away from it. They are running in place, jumping, leaning side-to-side, and most of all, having fun. I'm really not a gamer, so I can't comment on the gaming side of things, but I can report that my 9 and 6 year old sons are having a blast with this. They even had some friends over to play, and the whole group of them ...

  • Wii Outdoor Challenge game

With so many kids playing video games and not outside playing, this is the game to get. My grandson 6 played it and you can also play team players where not playing against each other but on the mat together helping each other, example when one of the games you have to raise right leg to lean you both have to, there are so many variables to this game it wore him out and me as well. Great game for all ages for one or more, I actually had to make him take a break, he ran, jumped, sat, leaned, race a couple hours and he was sweating I had to make hime stop for a while. Holds there attention, would recommend all to buy this Wii game. I bought it because I had seen great reviews as well as for all ages.
