G series is best in canon compact cameras..
No doubt canon G-series cameras are best in all compact cameras..in G10 only megapixcel and ISO is higher the G9..and little other things are up graded other wise both are same . I had Powershot G9...beautiful and crystal clean photos ,if you know how to make photos.. it is best .G9 and G10 for me are same but price different is big difference.what i would recommend..If you have £200 to £270 pounds for compact camera Just buy from ebay G10.or G9..instead of buying new G10 in £400.or G9 still over £300 pound for new..G9 to G12 all are bestNo doubt canon G-series cameras are best in all compact cameras..in G10 only megapixcel and ISO is higher the G9..and little other things are up graded other wise both are same . The bottom line in our opinion is that in spite of some minor imperfections, the latest PowerShot G camera proves to be a very well rounded package. In short, even in the face of high expectations, Canon delivered the goods with its latest flagship PowerShot. At the moment, the advanced compact camera market has settled in terms of price at around the $500 mark. For that kind of outlay, it's not unreasonable to ask yourself whether your needs might not be better served by an entry-level DSLR: basic models from every manufacturer will do essentially everything the G10 does, provide superior high-ISO and shooting speed performance without exception, and do so for only a little more ... Following in the footsteps of a long and successful line of advanced cameras, the G10 had a lot to live up to. The bottom line in our opinion is that in spite of some minor imperfections, the latest PowerShot G camera proves to be a very well rounded package. G10 is awesome and easy to use
I love it very much as it is very handy to use. Its compact and yet it looks professional, its like a hybrid of a compact and DSLR camera. The quality of the camera with 14.7mp, dslr mode, lcd screen to make sure your shots are clear, what more do you want. Even the newer ones like the G11 and G12 still not up to it. So for me G10 is the best of compact you could buy.

Being an old fashioned photographer I do like the veiw finder.
I recently purchased this camera second hand its a great little camera with many features, well built and takes great shots great for serious amateurs and pros alike .
