    Best beginner book ever! I'm using it for review

    I had the original publication from 1976, and have LONG SINCE regretted losing it along the way... so busy working, etc, to do much sewing... now I'm retired, and have the time, and am taking it up again. But, I've forgotten some things. I ordered this and it was like meeting an old friend. The internet videos are great but having the book open to the excellently depicted step-by-step instructions can't be beat! Highly recommend!

    " A perfect book for the beginner to the experiance sewer "

    This book is great and it is easy to understand, I haven't done any sewing for years. I know this book will help me a lot, this book explains every thing just fine. This book isn't only for beginners it is also for the experience sewer, I highly suggest this book you wont regret it.

    Great directions!

    Got this book by a friend that recommended it. She has the original and suggested I look for a new version. This version had more positive remarks than more newer versions. I am very pleased w this book so far.

    New Complete Guide to Sewing

    I have been a 4-H leader for over 20 years. I really wish I had this book for reference since the first edition came out in 1976! Think how many young girls I could have helped by knowing what I was doing! This guide has easy to follow directions, lots of step by step pictures in a wide range of sewing basics. At a recent 4-H meeting when I said I was having trouble finding directions for making roman shades, they told me about the Complete Guide to Sewing and were appalled I didn't know about it. Some had original editions, some had newer ones. Why didn't my friends tell me earlier?? I went home, looked it up on ebay & bought it immediately. I was ecstatic when it came. It is awesome! However, it did not have directions for the roman shades I was making. Even though the home accesories ...
