Observations on the Perils and Rewards of Art Making
If you are not an artist, you might wonder what on earth an artist has to be afraid of and why there would even be a need for this book. If you are an artist who has experienced “creative block” then you probably understand. Art & Fear explores the way art gets made, the reasons it often doesn't get made, and the nature of the difficulties that cause so many artists to give up along the way. This book is not a good choice for artists who are completely confident in their work. It is also not a good choice for artists who need help in figuring out practical solutions to the problem of creative block. While this book is empathetic to artists who are struggling with fear, it doesn’t do much to address the solutions; it mostly just elaborates on the problem. It gives you the sense that you ... I think the most important thing this book held for me was reassurance that “failed” art pieces are an essential part of creative growth.

Art & Fear is about helping you find your own path & destination to becoming the artist you always wanted to be. At times this book didn't hold my full attention, but overall it is light reading & only 121 pages. I bought the book to take my walk with art another step forward~ Recommended reading ...if you are wanting to overcome fear of creating~Art & Fear...an artist's survival guide. This book explores the depths of your mind, why art gets made, and taps into the realities of why so many artists give up along the way. Art & Fear is about helping you find your own path & destination to becoming the artist you always wanted to be. dumb book weird he is not an artist
this guy is a wacko dont waste your money He is not a painter but a photographer and he acts like he know artists/painters it hooks you at first then gets real bizarre........... used larger words that sound like it means something but it doesnt ........ look him up on youtube he is a nut
