Features one of the best battle scenes since Braveheart
Open Season The first 45 minutes is kind of slow and dare I say a little boring, but the last 45 minutes more than makes up for it. I used the fast-forward button to get to the good stuff but that doesn't mean you're going to. I just have little patience when it comes to animated films. My girlfriend loved the whole movie and I absolutely loved the last 45 minutes. This movie is a definite kids film with enough grown up humor to keep adults entertained. And the climax of this film is so cool that you can forgive the first 45 minutes for boring you to death. Final Verdict: 4/5 Rent or Buy?: A must buy if you have kids, a rental if you don't. Under-rated Disney film
My two year old loves this movie. He'll come to me and ask, "Mommy, watch Boog, please?" (Boog is the main character.). It's a shame that this movie didn't do better in the box office because that pretty much sealed that there wouldn't be a sequel. But the thing I like about this is that it's not so full of musical numbers every five minutes, it relies on it's own humor and storyline, and it's not some over-dramatic love story. It is what it is: a fun, humorous kids' movie that doesn't take itself too seriously or try to change the world with a message. It's only real purpose is entertainment, not a kajillion tie-in products, a multi-million dollar soundtrack song by an aging contemporary adult artist nor a big, flashy soundtrack at all. Better than "Hedge"
This movie rocks with originality! My fiancee and I love it! There are so many things that have never been done before in an animated film: the scene in the convenience store--classic; the bunny throwing--pee-in-your pants funny; the battle scenes in the river and with the animals vs the hunters. It's just nonstop hilarious. Way better than Over the Hedge, in my opinion, and many other animal animated flicks. The actors are hilarious, the plot is well written, and it's visually a delight. It's worth the watch--for all ages! Enjoy it with your favorite person, b/c you'll want someone to laugh with. =D God bless, christmas =)This movie rocks with originality! My fiancee and I love it! Hilarious
This I believe is the funniest animated movie I have ever seen. Everyone in my family loved this one including my husband, and I have a 15, 12, 10, and 9 year old so everyone of all ages will love this movie. It is full of laughs. The animated animals in this are so funny, and cute it is to hilarious. I just love Boog the grizzly bear who voice is played by Martin Lawrence he is a bear that is a pet in our world but then his world is turned all around in not such a good way by a mule deer named Elliot who's voice is played by Ashton Kutcher, anyway Boog is dropped off into the wilderness along with Elliot. After being put to sleep then he and Elliot wake up to the big surprise, and then the big laughs begin in this movie even though they already have started but the bigger ones start ...
