Easy to understand and follow - this book is OUTSTANDING!
As an educator, I can tell you that most technical manuals are not very easy to understand because the author usually does not consider the audience. This book is an exceptional product. The author is clear, concise, and direct to the point on how to utilize the outstanding features of FCP. I highly recommend purchasing anything from Diana Weynand!

REQUIRED READING TO PASS THE FCP 6 ACP LEVEL 1 EXAM
I needed to pass my Final Cut Pro 6 ACP Level 1 exam and could not have done so without this book. It is easy to follow, with clear instructions on how to use Final Cut's different features from capturing footage to exporting a final product and everything else in between. Its hands on approach ensures that readers gain very important practical experience through its "real world" exercises. Supporting these exercises is a resource DVD packed with all the relevant media and application files needed. The media provided is professional footage from the USA Network and the BBC, which enhances the learning experience. For anyone looking to take the Apple Certified Pro exam the Chapter Review Questions and the list of keyboard shortcuts will be an indispensable resource. Also, as the exam uses ... I needed to pass my Final Cut Pro 6 ACP Level 1 exam and could not have done so without this book. Good book. Arrived new as described.
It's a bit hard to get it working, because you would have to do several things with the software and computer upgrade before you could get it working. When I first tried to operate the software, I was given a statement saying that my computer wasn't compatible to it and others. I had to take it to the apple store and asked the professionals there to help me out it before I could get it going and use it. But, overall, it's a pretty good book! great book
detailed and easy intro to this program!! keep up with it! im not saying you wont have to put effort on it, how do you teach video editing?? is hard but this is a great back up, also watch videos in youtube and practice a lot

Final Cut Pro 6
this book is great for FCP beginners. it literally dissects FCP for you. if new it also comes with software that you can use with your FCP program and has a bunch of file exercises that you go though in the book. its very good for a beginner who is thinking about editing with FCP.
