Most complete Cookbook I've owned
My girlfriend, then wife, then ex-wife had this cookbook in the early 1980's and I found it to be the most complete of all of the 15 or so cookbooks I owned. With the illustrations and exact instructions, it made following any of the recipes easy and successful. My wife kept her copy and when I regained my passion for the culinary arts, (I used to own a restaurant) I was able to find it on EBay and purchase several copies. I gave them out to friends that attend my pot-luck parties and they were thrilled! I have since ordered a few extra copies to give to future friends. I believe this book is a must for every kitchen. A Wonderfully Illustrated Cookbook
I already owned this cookbook and it is the first book I go to when I am looking for cooking information. It is beautifully illustrated and that is the primary reason why I bought it as a gift. I like to see how an unfamiliar recipe looks before trying something new. In the front section it features full color photographs of each recipe. Each recipe has illustrations describing procedures, as well as a time guide to tell you how long it will take to prepare each recipe from start to finish. It has other basic information which you would expect in any good, comprehensive cookbook (equivalences,kitchen tools, cuts of meat, buying tips, etc.) and I would especially recommend it to novice cooks or anyone who feels that their kitchen knowledge is lacking. Excellent Cookbook
This cookbook actually came with its original dust jacket. It is in excellent condition, and that is saying a lot because it is over 30 years old. This cookbook was given to me over 30 years ago, and I still refer to it for the right way to prepare food. This one I gave to my 13 year old granddaughter. Her turn to learn how to prepare food the right way.

Favorite cookbook like new
One of my top 3 favorite cookbooks. Lost mine 2 years ago, so was so pleased to find a replacement - and one that was in much better shape than the one I had with cake batter, bbq sauce, and berry stains on. This book was actually a little better than advertised.

This should be a kitchen staple
You know all those cook books you own that say, whip it to stiff peaks, soft peaks, until it sticks to the spoon, etc. If you're like me you always say what does that mean? All those strange indgrediant names?....Get this book. It tells you everything along with the recipes for any staple you'll ever want to make and you can trust it to always work out. It shows clear pictures and descriptions of what it wants you to whip meals to, translates all the cooking terminology to help not only with it's recipe's but all those other one's you can't quite figure out. Everything from how to make perfect soft boiled eggs (boil water remove from heat, sit 2 minutes for soft and 15 for hard). I am looking for another as mine is on my counter at least once a week for the last 27 years and it's a ...
