Great Printer and a Great Value!
The Brother QL-500 is a workhorse that is the center of our eBay operations. We use it for everything from labeling our inventory to using it to print postage. I bought my first machine 7 years ago and I still use it today. I have changed jobs over this time but my QL-500 stays at my side. We now use three QL-500's daily. Pros: (1) Very Fast (2) No ink or toner (3) Various size labels including continuous length (4) Prebuilt eBay template to print shipping labels (5) Professional, powerful and easy to use software (6) Easy to switch label sizes in machine (7) Manual cutting blade is easy to replace (8) Labels are affordable and generic brands are available. Cons: (1) Bundled software outdated BUT new software is free to download (2) Needs a firmware update that is also available online for ... Easy to setup and use
I bought this to print shipping labels for used clothing I'm selling online, and it's perfect! I use Pirate Ship and their guide for setting up the printer to print 2x7 labels, along with the manual available on the Brother website, made setup and use super simple. Prints perfectly clear labels. Just make sure to get the right sized labels for your printing needs.

Brother QL 500 Label Printer
I love this thermal printer! Very easy to use with software download from the Brother website. It’s fast, quiet, and so versatile. The print is crisp and clean! I love that the printer has a built in cutter.

Brother P-Touch QL-500 is WONDERFUL!
This is an extremely handy and efficient device. For a home office or business this label printer is wonderful. Printing on envelopes seems to be a more "professional" approach, but the hassle and expense of lost time fooling with the affordable printers and software became too extreme. The software for this little baby is on the verge of being overloaded with options. But it will do sooooo much that it just isn't fair to complain about getting "too much". You can also buy rolls of uncut label paper and print out long banner labels. You can put a graphic, logos, photos, clip art, etc. on your labels. You can print 1 or 1001 of the same label or use a data base and do a merge. And to top it all off you do not ever have to buy any ink!!! It uses thermal technology and produces an ...
