À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Dragon Warrior IV is composed of five separate chapters. The first chapter details the adventures of Ragnar, a soldier ordered by the king to investigate the disappearance of several local children. The next chapter tells the story of Alena, who yearns to escape from her sheltered life of a pampered princess. Taloon is an arms merchant, and is the subject of chapter three. He is an ambitious man with dreams of buying his own store, and has set off to find a fortune inn order to do so.

Chapter four relates the story of the sisters of Monbaraba. Sisters Nara and Mara lost their father. Nara is skilled in the magic of fortune telling, while Mara has studied the ancient art of dance since a young age. The sisters are determined to uncover the cause behind their father's death.

Finally, chapter five brings the characters from the previous chapters together under the leadership of you, the game's hero. A fierce demon has been secretly watching the characters throughout their stories for mysterious reasons. You and your party must confront this demon.

Dragon Warrior IV features a tactics system. In the first four chapters, you can set character positions for battle, with the lead character being able to inflict the most damage while striking. When you bring all the characters together in the fifth chapter, the characters have learned enough to act alone. You can select one of six possible strategies for your characters. They will then follow your strategy to the best of their abilities while you control your hero character directly. In chapter five, you can also switch an active character for a reserve character once during battle to bring up a more appropriate character or to save a wounded character.

Excellent seller! Great communication. SNES game was shipped with extreme care and arrived just as described/pictured. It was boxed, wrapped in paper and bubble wrap and the manual was in between two sheets of cardboard. Top notch! Very happy with my purchase. A+ EBay experience.

  • Absolutely amazing RPG

Dragon Warrior IV debuted in North America in '92, as one of, if not the best RPG on the NES. As the final Dragon Warrior on the beloved NES and with the richest game play, compelling story, and memorable characters out of all of them so far, it is highly sought after. The story is broken up into five chapters. The first four each detailing the adventures of the main Hero's (your) future companions; in the fifth the player searches for those in previous chapters to go on a journey that legends are made of. A classic battle of 'good vs. evil', revenge, mystery, hope, and restoration; with a cast of characters you'll not soon forget: from a soldier of a great country, to a merchant father and husband, to a princess, to dancers and fortune tellers. The game play is just like most other ...

  • Worth every last cent!

Easily the greatest RPG for the NES console. Dragon Warrior IV, VII, and VIII are easily on my top 10 RPGs of all time, and I have played hundreds of them! The DS version of this game has really horrible translations in parts of the game, to the point where it is hard to understand what people are saying at time. I don't know why they didn't just copy the English text from the NES version to the DS version, but for some reason, they didn't. This game would be AMAZING if they would upgrade everything and put it on the PS3. Great story overall, and I really like the fact that you get 9 characters by the end of them game that you can switch in and out of battles.

  • A game no role player should be with out.

Probably the best RPG for the Nintendo. IV small quests before the huge final quest, in which you must find all the adventures of the previous quests. This game came out in "92" I remember it boasting a pretty hevy price tag back then, about $65 to $75 bucks. I probably should have just bought the game back then because i spent alot of money renting it from the local grocery store. If you were or still are a fan of final fantasy, dont let a copies of this pass you buy. Oh! one more thing you won't find this game on any other console,(well execpt in Japan) not even a reissue with better graphics or anything. Chow! monster70baby!!!

  • A New Adventure Begins

Fans of the series are divided on which is their favourite installment. While most site V or VIII, mine as far as plot development goes is IV. Told as four seperate stories that come together in the end to tell the main story, IV was a new direction and the beginning of a new epic storyline. Gone are the days of Erdrick and the kingdom of Alefgard, now we are dealing with the Zenithian saga which carries into the fan favourite V and the lesser received but equally awesome VI

  • Wonderful collection!

I'm SO glad that I purchased this Dragon Warrior collection. When I saw it up for grabs, it was an immediate 'must have.' I'll be on the prowl for more collections like this..., as opposed to other's "collections" that include Barney & Friends, Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers, Barbie's Favorite Horses along titles that I really care about. More power to people who sell GENRES as, once again, opposed to a 'collection' that includes one or two good games. Thanks again, lovely strangers who know who their buyers are!!
