Product Information

Mega Man's second appearance on Game Boy features a mix of stages taken from Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3 on the 8-bit NES. The Blue Bomber will confront the following eight robot masters while pursuing evil mastermind Dr. Wily: Metal Man, Crash Man, Air Man, Wood Man, Needle Man, Magnet Man, Hard Man, and Top Man. As with previous games, Mega Man will receive a robot master's signature weapon after defeating it in a one-on-one showdown at the end of each themed level. Mega Man II features the handheld debut of a mechanical canine companion named Rush, who will be instrumental in helping the hero navigate some of the stages. Rush can be used as a spring-loaded platform, a submarine, and as a hoverboard. A grid-based password system lets you save your hard-earned weapons and energy tanks before turning off the system.

Fun, but pales in comparison with it's NES counterpart
Megaman 2... for the game boy. Yes, the elements are all there, except the music is not nearly as good as it was on the NES, but I suppose that is to be expected. Anyways, The controls, items, bosses and levels are all great. Unlike Megaman 2 on the NES you've got Rush and he does some great things for you, he acts as a rocket sled, and a coil that makes you jump really high. This game also has a password system(as it should), so you can continue from anywhere anytime you want. This game is good, but it just lacks all the charm of the NES game of the same title.Megaman 2... for the game boy. Great game
Playing this game brings back memories. It's great. The only things to make perfect was a case with instruction booklet

Mega Man II for Gameboy. A good choice
Mega Man II for the Gameboy is a combination of II and III. You have Rush your mechanical dog. You have to defeat 4 of the original mega man II foes then you fight 4 more that I dont recall seeing. Maybe they were in III. The music is lacking but it is on the gameboy. Controlls are tight and you do get the slide feature. I beat it in a day, but it does give you passwords after you defeat bosses so thats nice. If you want a fun challenge, and you like mega man get it.
