  • I think it’s ok

    It has a lot of recipes I wouldn’t use. I was hoping for more of lasagna - pasta or soup easy recipes to make for dinner. I don’t feel like this was their restaurant’s actual “menu” recipes. But it is a good book and I don’t have any Italian so I’m glad I got it. It has good pictures of the restaurant and guests and stories.

  • Raos cookbook is a winner. Both the variety of the recipes and the mostly easy execution is 5 star.

    Excellen recipes that cover the gamet. My husband Australian is a superb Italian cook and me too. We are also very critical about recipes and we judge harshly. We both say this is 5 star!

  • Totally Italian

    It contains a recipe for my favorite Rao's Sauce (Arrabbiata). There are lots of great pictures related to the famous restaurant. Lots to read, also, besides the recipes.

    Our Sunday paper ran an article about this harlem restaurant and the history of the family that started it-Looking at the cover you could just smell the aromas coming from that kitchen. Italian food is my favorite and I'm going to try their recipe for lasagna as well as some others.I have enjoyed reading about the family and the pictures of the inside of the restaurant are wonderful.It really makes me want to dine there.

    I can’t go to Rao’s, this is the next best thing. Recipes are awesome and the photos make it interesting. If you want the best Italian recipes this is the book for you!!
