Product Information

One of the better vampire films about two new-in-town brothers who discover a local gang of motorcycle youths are more undead than alive. Younger brother Sam (Corey Haim) works hard to eradicate the ghoulies but his older brother (Jason Patric) falls in love with the bunch's lone female (Jami Gertz). Soon, he finds that he's gradually becoming a vampire himself. An interesting candy-coated meditation on teen conformity with a great rock soundtrack.

    A great retro movie for your collection!

    I love this movie...it be be over the top, the acting may not be particularly good, it may be a cheesy take on classic vampire movies....but it is one of those films that is so bad - its good, or make that great! I love it when it came out...I love it now, I can watch it again and again, and even appreciate the soundtrack! This mid eighties movie starred some of the hottest names at that time - the two Corey's - Haim and Feldman, Jason Patric who became an instant 'heartthrob' , Kiefer Sutherland and Dianne Weist who plays the mom to a tee!! It is set in Santa Cruz which becomes a fictional California Beach town - Santa Carla - with some strange goings on - people disappearing, vampire talk - and newcomer Corey Haim wants to get to the bottom on it, while his brother player by Patric ...

    So well worth the wait...

    I've wanted to re-watch this movie ever since I saw it as a kid, and let me tell you - I was NOT disappointed! The movie itself is absolutely wonderful, you're grabbed from the first five minutes until the end, and all the special features in this 2 disc set are such a treat. Very well worth it.

    the lost boys 2004 rerelease

    not your standard comming of age movie set in a beachfront community. an allstar cast of players ( some of them hundreds of years old, but you can't tell)living the cool life as young care free vampires. yes,looking good, dressing great for all eternity. the undead has it's high points. i watched this movie as a kid and kept my imagination up at night only to sleep all day. the two disc set is the only way to go with all the deleted scenes and behind the camera storys the lost boys fan would love. a must have for the forever young blood. thanks for your time , pat

    The Lost Boys (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Set, Special Edition)

    Financial troubles force a recent divorcee and her teenage sons Mike and Sam to settle down with her father in the California town of Santa Carla. At first, Sam laughs off rumours he hears about vampires who inhabit the small town. But after Mike meets a beautiful girl at the local amusement park, he begins to exhibit the classic signs of vampirism. Fearing for his own safety, Sam recruits two young vampire hunters to save his brother by finding and destroying the head vampire. I watch vampire movies, I prefer a more dramatic approach. This is the exception. This is a true 80's classic movie. Kiefer Sutherland is very good in this movie. A fun movie to watch.

    great features!

    Im such a huge fan of The Lost Boys so being able to get this special edition of the film was SO exciting for me. It was in perfect condition and is perfect for my collection of Lost Boys items,etc
