Championship Bass for the PC allows anglers to compete in online fishing tournaments, as well as hitting fishing spots with up to eight friends in one game. The online fishing community is a virtual lake where the fish are hungry, and the tall tales get taller with each new conversation. You can see your scores posted automatically onto online leaderboards and swap fishing stories over online chat sessions. <br><br>Championship Bass is the first PC fishing game that features a Bass Challenge mode in which level-based scenarios test an angler's skills and strategy. The angler is rewarded as fishing skills are demonstrated and successfully utilized to catch a bass. In this Challenge mode, gamers learn valuable techniques against the computer that can be utilized in future online tournaments. <br><br>The game's Executive Producer, Randy Dersham, said, "Fishing is a sport that America loves because it can be enjoyed in so many ways. In Championship Bass we have given anglers the ability to bring some of the best fishing lakes in the country onto their PC and fish exactly the way they like. Whether that means going it alone, or jumping online with thousands of others who want to size up their fishing abilities in a competitive environment, you can fish the way you like." <br><br>Championship Bass features complete access to six well-known lakes, including Sam Rayburn, Lake Mead and Lake Toho. During Championship Bass Trips and Tournaments, you are free to roam and fish anywhere in a true 3D world. Access to the best fishing spots on the lake is unlimited, and the lakes are huge. <br><br>Advanced fish intelligence give the prey a chance to outwit you. The fish in Championship Bass show a wide range of responses to lures, strike behavior and fight strategies. Hooking the bass is just the beginning of the battle. Actually fighting the fish and landing it is where the fun comes in. The fish in the game have the ability to make false attacks on lures, return attacks and short-strike lunges. Dozens of rod, reel, weight, lure and color combinations are available to choose from in the game to help you succeed. Also available are numerous bonus lures, casts, boat modes and other powerups that give you more capabilities to catch fish. <br><br>There are several ways to play Championship Bass. In Bass Challenge mode more than 50 unique scenarios will test your angler skills and strategies. This arcade-style of gameplay requires that a certain skill be demonstrated and completed before the user can advance to the next level. In Fishing Trip mode, you will enjoy free form fishing and can choose the location and conditions in which to fish. In Tournament mode, you will compete against other computer opponents in a tournament setting. <br><br>The game features detailed underwater environments. Instead of boring underwater scenes that only feature dirt and water, the viewer is treated to lakes full of docks, trees, vegetation, rocks and of course big bass.

    Great game if you run older windows programs

    Its a good game. I loved it when I use to run windows 98 but I cant get to work with windows 7. I used the use the play older programs mode but still didnt work. If you can make it work ? Have fun

    long lost game found.

    i love this game.i had it some years ago and enjoyed it very much.i lost that game ,and have been looking for a new one for some time.i could,nt wait to get and play the game i purchaced on e-bay.played it for five hours straight.a really good find.

    Fishing.....Tough!

    I like this game because I have not play fishing before. real or no real. I don't like it because there is no tutorials on the game. only a few keys instructions which I have tried and it doesn't work. So I have to figure it out how to playing it. I did not excite me at all. it might sit on the bottom corner somewhere on the book shelf. I don't recommend to buy it.

    An enthralling experience.

    A brilliant game - very realistic. Only restricted by incompatibility with a joystick.Mouse and keyboard use takes some getting used to.
