Great fun if the story is not your reason for watching
We all remember the old Harry Hamlin Clash of the Titans from the days of yor. That being said; this is NOT really a faithful remake. As it seems with most of today's Hollywood output, COTT leaves a lot to be desired. The effects, for the most part, are first rate; even with the overuse of CGI. But the story seems somewhat rushed. It seems that the story was changed just so the producer could have more opportunity to stick in even more somewhat cheezy CGI effects, at the expense of a decent plotline. I found it impossible to really care what happened to the lead character (Perseus). The character was beyond the ability of ANY actor to breath life into. The other characters, for the most part, were similarly shallow. The writers of this flick need more lessons on writing ... You will be much happier with it.

A very good remake of a classic
Remake of the 1981 film of the same name starring Sam Worthington as Perseus the son of Zeus, half man, half god who is challenged to defeat the Kraken and Hades and save both Heaven and Earth. The movie follows along the same script as the original with very few changes with the exception of a few of the demons Perseus must fight to save Andromeda. This re-make is in some ways better than the original movie, much better graphics and much better special effects. The movie also stars: Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Alexa Davalos, Danny Huston, Pete Postlethwaite, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson as Zeus. Great Special Effects
I liked the original 1981 version.This one is also great entertainment.A superb cast once again headlines the retelling of a classic story.I love these kind of movies.I hope to see more like it in the near future.Sam Worthington was great in "AVATAR",and made an excellent Perseus.Liam Neeson is one of my many favorite actors,and was awesome in the role of Zeus.CGI effects made the creatures even more scary.I liked the original 1981 version.This one is also great entertainment.A superb cast once again headlines the retelling of a classic story.I love these kind of movies.I hope to see more like it in the near future.Sam Worthington was great in "AVATAR",and made an excellent Perseus.Liam Neeson is one of my many favorite actors,and was awesome in the role of Zeus.CGI effects made the creatures even more scary.

A good remake but could have been better
I personally think it could have been a better remake of the original film of the 80's, as a kid i found the original to be one of my personal favorites but for reasons of technology i find it lacs the touches of a better Medusa that looked to be a little too fake a better finish, I hope it doesn't trigger a second movie of the same quality, dint get me wrong i liked the movie but it could have had more detail to the special effects.I personally think it could have been a better remake of the original film of the 80's, as a kid i found the original to be one of my personal favorites but for reasons of technology i find it lacs the touches of a better Medusa that looked to be a little too fake a better finish, I hope it doesn't trigger a second movie of the same quality, dint get me wrong i liked the movie but it could have had more detail to the special effects.
