    Transformers marketed for kids, disappointed with FOUL LANGUAGE and SEXUAL INNUENDOS in movie

    Transformers are marketed towards kids; however, we were extremely disappointed because this movie has foul language and sexual innuendos throughout. We have found that the first Transformers movie is a little better than the others in the series. Movies Dark of the Moon and Revenge of the Fallen are far worse in terms of inappropriate content for children's viewing, than Transformers and Age of Extinction. It is very disappointing that the Transformers movies appeal to kids, but are littered with such foul language, sexual innuendo, and inappropriate content. We wish the filmmakers would have made the Transformers movies kid friendly.

    Beyond our wildest imagination

    Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (screenplay and story) have outdone themselves with their take on the Transformers (For the purists out there, Orci and Kurtzman were able to simplify matters by consolidating the proverbial “seat of power” – The All Spark Cube – into one gigantic cube that conveniently has the ability to transform itself into a tiny cube for logistics purposes (In the 80’s cartoon, a number of the Decepticons had the ability to generate cubes which they “fill with energy,” creating “energon cubes.” as well as give each of the Transformers the power of Teletran 1 (basically the ability to select their earthly “disguise” on their own (e.g., Camaro, truck, helicopter, cell phone, etc.) The Transformers Movie was generally an entertaining, but lacked sufficient emphasis to ...

    Transformers Come Again

    In a revisit to the original Transformers 80's cartoon series, this rendition of Transformers is packed with action, car chases, fantastic special effects, and a respectable story line. This movie is amazing on the big screen and delights men and boys alike! :-) A slight romantic interest by the teen-aged hero helps bring depth to the story. Although the focus of the story is the transforming of the Transformers, it is worth a watch (and repeating). For parents monitoring what their children see, I would reccommend a parents-only preview before watching as a fmaily (as some sensuality and character behavior may be offensive).     Rating The DVD

    Rating the DVD.... Not The Film itself. The DVD did not come with any bonus features. The lack of those bonus features did not help the fact that the Film just did not come across as well on the small screen as it would have on the Big Screen at the theater. That said, the film was OK in that it had a story, plenty of action due to Michael Bay directing it, plus a lot of special effects that did not hamper the movie's flow. Sometimes CGI doesn't add to a movie, but detracts from it, i.e. the Hulk's first film. In this case the CGI flowed with the characters and and kept the story going. There is a sequel to this film in the works. Would suggest that you take in the sequel at the theater as films of this nature need to be seen on the Big Screen!
