Product Information

Players are invited to spend some leisure time on Wing Island as they pilot the skies over Shell Island as a single-gamer or against friends. Playing through the "Story" mode, players must take the role of Junior and help keep the family aviation business in the air by completing 20 racing, search, rescue, and recovery missions. Gamers begin on the smallest of three islands found within the game's environment. Here, players can learn the controls of the plane and how their hand movements and the Wii Remote affect the flight path. Each finished objective unlocks a variety of aero-upgrades used to increase the power, handling, and speed of each aircraft. There are two additional islands players must complete to beat the game, and each island is more difficult than it's predecessor. In "Free" mode, gamers may cruise through the air above the islands at their own pace without a timer or objective. "Single-Player Competitive" and the two-person "Multiplayer" mode feature three styles of play: "Score Attack," "Time Attack," and "Plane Tail."

An Excellent Family Game, Harder Than You Think
This is a game that will be enjoyed by younger kids to adults. It looks like it will be cheesy and easy, but it is anything but. It is aimed at mostly older, I'd say difficulty wise 10+ kids all the way to adults. There i no violence or bloodshed making it a great family game. You pilot a squadron of old bi-planes around a series of islands in "Story Mode", accepting and completing challenges before you can move on to the other islands. The point is to complete tasks and earn money and experience. Money allows you to upgrade your planes, all the way to buying newer and better models. The games look's like it will be easy, until you play it for the first time. I would recommend waiting until the price drops or buying it gently used like I did. I would wait until it drops into the $19.99 range or lower if you want it brand new or too rent it first and play it and decide for yourself.

There are much better games out there.
Wing Island is a game that is not for everyone. but if you are someone only expecting 2-3 hours to complete a game then this could be your game. the game starts off with a simple story, that has even more simple levels and graphics. and some of the most frustrating controls, though movement is easy things like flight formation and maneuvers can be annoying and devastating, the controls are the biggest problem with the game. a majority of the missions are chores as in taking boxes from point A to B, finding cows, flying threw rings,etc. if you enjoy taking out the trash and mowing the lawn this could be your game. there are much better games out there in this genre, such as Pilotwings for the Snes And N64, Blazing Angels for the Wii, and Sky odyssey for the PS2. at least give it a rent ... Wing Island for Wii review
Excellent flying game for the Wii. The game makes full use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck for a very realistic flying game. The story line of the whole game is kind of dumb (birds that fly planes, don't they already fly?), but the game play is awesome. Fly all different types of missions like delivering cargo, putting out forest fires, and finding and photographing different things. Many different planes to purchase as well as many add ons for the planes you have. Non violent game, great for any kids (and adults).Excellent flying game for the Wii. Wing Island Wii
Very cool game to play. controls are simple and the game is overall pretty fun to play. I bought it because it sounded fun to fly, I was right!

More like a child's Video story
It is probably the coolest game for 2 or 3 years old kids. Even a 5 years old kid get bored easily. If you are a Teen, I highly advice not to even try it. The intro will make you quit the game immediately.
