I love this movie and, really, it isn't like I'm any kind of Nicolas Cage fan. I'm not. I am, however, a major fan of Steve Buscemi and John Cusack. They're what takes this film from mediocre to very entertaining, together with the rest of a really fine cast. Gotta admit though, I did snicker when asked what is wrong with serial murderer Garland Greene, Cage replies straightfaced, "My guess is, a lot". Garland is played by one of my all-time favorite actors, Steve Buscemi. John Malkovich does one his finest gigs as master criminal "Cyrus the Virus", just "flowing" through all his scenes like the professional and good actor that he is. "Johnny 23" is wonderfully played by character actor Daniel Trejo. Ving Rhames is not the greatest actor in the world but he is a likable cuss, even as bad ... Personnaly, I generally skip the first few minutes of the movie. Poe (Cage) screwing up and getting thrown in jail. Yawn. Tender scenes with the wife. Another yawn. Let's get to the good stuff. That would be Cyrus' plan to take over the airplane and escape, along with an infamous drug dealer from whom he stands to make a lot of money. It's well done, the characters are interesting, and Buscemi alone is worth the price of admission.

Outstanding show!!
Truly one of the best movies ever made! Being able to enjoy this movie on Blu-ray compared to standard DVD quality is really a very pleasing experience and has allowed me to enjoy this movie so much more than I ever could while watching it when it came out originally on DVD! If you haven't seen this movie yet and /or you'd like to own one of the best movies ever made, I highly recommend this one as it is truly a keeper! Five Stars quality! No doubt about it! Nicolas Cage is incredible as Cameron Poe and some wonderful command performances as well from John Malkovich, John Cusack, Rachel Ticotin and of course the one and only Danny Trejo as well as many other top-notch stars make this movie a must-see and for some like me, a must have!Truly one of the best movies ever made! Great picture, great sound on this bluray. Highly recommended.
The picture is surprisingly good for this bluray. The sound is great as well. I always loved the movie but never got around to buying the bluray. Now I'm very glad I did.

Fun Movie. Great characters!
Malkovich is the consummate villain! Colm Meaney is the perfect ass. One of only a few violent movies my wife likes! (The Last Boy Scout, and the first 2 Die Hard movies are some of the others!)

Another excellent movie in blu ray disc format! really, why don't they just convert all dvd movies into this wonderful, crystal clear, high quality picture and with so many interesting features! i highly recommend for everybody to watch and enjoy this action-filled, thrilling movie of Nicolas Cage!!! Awesome!!!
