Band on the Run
This album is Paul McCartney's most commercially successful venture to date in late1973. Every song on this is very likeable and easy to listen to. The album started selling big when the title track was released as a single (Apple 1873) in the late spring of 1974. Everyone liked that song and it received tremendous radio airplay made the number one spot in May 1974 on the Billboard chart. Other top 40 singles that were Helen Wheels which topped out at number 10 on Billboard's chart in December 1973 and Jet (Apple 1871) which peak at number 7 on the Billboard chart in February 1974.This album is Paul McCartney's most commercially successful venture to date in late1973. Good Songs
My sister had the album when it first came out and she played it all the time. Someone gave me free tickets to see Paul McCartney when he was in DC last month and I went because I didn't have any other plans. Even though I remembered Paul's hits from the radio, I was surprised at how many of the songs he sang at the concert sounded so familiar to me. When I told my sister this, she said they were from the Band on the Run Album. So, I bought this CD and the songbook to go with it. I have enjoyed it so much. 70's Heritage and Cultural phenom
I have always liked Paul McCarneys "Venus and Mars" vinyl album but recently shopped for the CD version. During this time of shopping I kept reading that "Band on the Run" was suppossed to be Paul's best work. So I decided to shop for this CD. I was able to find a brand new 25th anniversary edition for very reasonable. The thing I like most is the way this album transports you back in time. For me I can't think of a better piece of musical heritage that just seems to lock in that 70's state of mind like this album. Classic album, Wings best. A great 2 cd set with plentiful information. Hats off to Sir Paul McCartney and his lovely late wife Linda.

Perfect! Plays like new! Package shows a little wear but I don’t care, I bought it for the content to enjoy and listen to, not necessarily as a collector item.
