  • Paul Stanley/Solo 1978

I bought this album (CD)because I bought the album back in 1978 and it's showing some wear. Paul and Ace's solo albums were the best of the bunch. As for some reviews stating that Pauls "sounds the most like KISS" I disagree. None of the solo albums sounded anything like KISS. The music on Pauls album is more technical and mor diverse. "Hold me, Touch Me" for example shows Paul's ability to write a nice love song which KISS would never have cut or written. The musicianship is great and with Riche Fontana on drums (I'm a drummer) really creates the power behind the tunes. I reccomend it highly, however the ebay site I bought it from, "Derbycitymedia" It took 10 days to get here! Not my typical ebay experience..

  • Probably the most under-rated rock singer of our time!

In September of 1978, KISS made history by releasing four solo albums crafted by each of its members with outside musicians. Gene made his usual self-indulgent collection of songs. Peter decided to record an album of music that was not very KISS-like, but more to his taste. Ace totally rocked out on his! What Paul Stanley has given us is yet another collection of catchy songs, very radio-friendly, and shined to a rock/pop sheen. Paul just has a knack for writing a catchy melody, and he has a powerful voice providing a great vocal range. Many of these songs will stick in your head after only a listen or two. If you don't own this solo album, you've got a big hole in your KISS collection!

  • Kiss Paul Stanley

Paul Stanley bring a great KISS album to the table. Statring out strong with Tonight You Belong To Me shows that Stanley was a driving force in KISS and just as much of one on his own. Songs also such as Move On and Take Me Away (Together as One) also show his musical and vocal talents. Other great songs are Wouldn't you like to Know Me and It's Alright. Overall this album is a great buy. Recomended for any KISS fan.

  • This CD is very average. Too soft at times.

Paul Stanley's 1978 solo contains several songs that provide the rock sound that KISS had back in the mid 70s. Songs such as "Tonight you belong to me" and "Move on" are well done and provide that KISS sound. However, too many of the songs on this CD are soft; much too soft. And, when Paul sings these soft songs, his voice loses that edge that he is known for. Overall, this CD is worth adding to your KISS collection, however I'd rank most (not Unmasked or the Elder) KISS albums above this solo project.
