Was described as fully operational. It was not. The battery was dead and inflated upon arrival so I had to order a new battery to test it only to find that the camera screen was not functioning

Seller took 5 days to drop-off package at post office. She put loose discs inside of a bubble mailer with barely any protection... of course they ended up arriving messed up and not working. NOT recommended.

  • Dated but works well at low cost

The Canon SD600 has a decent 6-meg image size, with a limited 3x zoom but 10 different exposure settings - auto, sunset, close, etc., even underwater (with housing). Outdoor shots are fine. We have three SD600 cameras which we use (with clamshell housing) to take kayaking on the water. If it gets damaged, well, they're inexpensive to replace. Fits in the pocket. The one issue that drives us nuts - the battery (lithium NB-4L, or similar) sometimes indicates there's no charge even when its come straight out of the charter. We have to pop it open to reseat the battery to make the connection.

  • Newer and better are out there, but not with the same value!

I had had this camera for a few years and always loved it, when it broke (because my best friend fell down the stairs with it in her back pocket, not because of old age or anything) I couldn't justify buying a new camera for a lot more money rather than replacing a camera I already know I like for a lot less. I think the pictures are of good quality, and there is a good amount of features. Of course since the creation of this camera there has been quite a few more features added to cameras so to compare it to those available now I can't say the completely add up but there is definitely enough features for it to be worth while in my eyes. For the price you can buy these at now I think they are definitely worth it!

  • Canon SD600 elph camera

I bought this to replace one that I dropped out a 19th floor hotel balcony. It has a metal case and the one I dropped was still in one piece after landing on a gravel walk way. I thought this was quite impressive and had to find another one. Canon has improved the pixels and image stabilization in their newer models but they are in a plastic case. The video is the same in this model as in the newer ones. With a picture happy 3 year old, plastic doesn't appeal to me!

  • best for the money its old and works amazing as always must have!

review for the camera in general NOT the seller or sellers item. i once had this same SD600 before and i bought another for the same price i once got it for. for around $20 this camera is pretty flat out amazing with photos even indoors with low lighting its not overly grainy on the exposure. colors come out vibrant and accurate as well. only flaw is the used one i got glitches some times. the screen overall isn't the best and scratches pretty easily and shows finger prints and isn't high res (photos look 10x better on a high res pc screen) battery life isn't phenomenal but with a few or a spare its enough to take the shots needed, assuming you use flash. outdoor shots are very clear, hardly yo no grain or static distortion and colors are very clear and life like. zoom capability is only 3x ...

  • Canon SD600 tiny camera

The price was right. I'd been shopping for one or two for months. The price was right, probably because the protective "shutters" don't close across the lens when not in use. I figure I can live with that. I don't really need this parti- cular camera, but I love it, and had already bought two for my wife (the first one went south in the commonest way; the lens stopped extending. But at my thrifty price, that's OK after a year.) The particular feature of this model is an old-fashioned viewfinder, lacking in most tiny digital cameras today. It has small size, a big and bright display window, sharp images, a surprisingly good movie mode for its size, and excellent controls, though these are not as easy to use as they might be. The one thing it lacks, compared to my previous favorite, the ...
