Featuring graphic portrayals of the controversial actions and overall brutality of the Vietnam War, Shellshock: Nam '67 looks to provide an uncensored depiction of the conflict as seen through the eyes of a rookie soldier.<br><br>Players must fight their way through a variety of missions, ranging from expansive battlefield encounters with the North Vietnamese Army to stealth-based missions to assassinate VC generals. Authentic weapons from either the U.S., Viet Cong, or North Vietnamese armies are available to use, as players battle in locations ranging from the wetlands of the South to the mountain borders of the North, as well as dense jungles and rural Vietnamese villages. Character development is interwoven, and as each mission is completed players will advance in rank, from a "grunt" to a special forces soldier, taking with them all of the skills learned from previous missions.<br><br>Realistic injuries were a consideration while Shellshock: Nam '67 was in development. Fellow soldier's don't simply live or die; rather, depending on the injury, they may lie on the ground suffering or struggle on wounded while attempting to take down the enemy. If players find themselves being overrun by the opposition during a mission, they can call in choppers to provide cover fire, or have the entire area leveled by a destructive napalm artillery attack.

    Pretty fun game despite its flaws

    This game is fun and even had a good time playing it when it first came out back in the day. The game has not withstood the sands of time because the graphics are subpar to today's standards and wasn't that great when it first came out. I accept it for what it is and there's not much Vietnam war games on the market nowedays. Controls are a clunky but you'll get used to them.

    Love this game

    I just re-entered the world of PS2, and this was one of my favs. Nice graphics, and great free-roaming. Plenty of carnage, and some very real life action.

    easy user game over all! much better than Conflict Vietnam

    I bought this game because I was wanting a Vietnam game I could play with no hang ups! Conflict Vietnam has a whole lot of hang ups in it that you'll get stuck on like I am right now! I liked the look and name of this game! so I bought it and I'm very pleased good title and this hast to be the best war game I have ever owned!, very good graphics,sound,how the platoon leader will guide you threw each level as you go foreword, not anything I dislike about this game yet anyway its just a game you need patience with and don't give up the fight! its a real big one!!! I rec-amend this game for all of the strategy type war game players out there for sure! much better and easier to play than Conflict Vietnam, easier to remember controls and just an easy user game over all!

    Awsome game!!!

    I was surprised how much fun this game was.It had gotten mixed reviews,but I have to say I really enjoyed it.Graphics are good , attention to details are good.I enjoy the aspect of being able to collect items during battle then sell them back at base camp for drugs ,or a pass to visit the local ladies.Its a nice change from your typical war games.The fighting is really intense,and you can really get into the game,not just fly through it .This is a much deeper game detail wise than say Conflict Vietnam,I was disapionted in that game.Give it a try.
