TRIUMPH SHOWS THEIR MAGIC POWER!
Exactly what I hoped to remember from HEAVY METAL SUNDAY. Triumph and this DVD is sure to satisfy anyone even fairly curious to take a look back. Excellent sound and top notch camera angles give you a first class ticket to the biggest rock show ever staged in Southern California. You can "see it" in Triumphs' eyes....... I've been to over 25 concerts in my time, and you can notice something in Rik Emmett's strut he's both "kind of showing off" a little, and really "getting into" the moment or so it appears to me. Viewing this in your home theater on the big screen, though not in "HI DEF" is still an absolute must. Also, I recommend the 20 min. interview prior to watching any of the show. One needs to hear how Triumph almost didn't play at the "US" and listening to Gil and Mike make this ... Exactly what I hoped to remember from HEAVY METAL SUNDAY. Triumph totally rocked the US Festival!
I was there for this incredible concert, and Triumph's performance was not bested by any other band on Heavy Metal day. The only group that, in my opinion, equaled that of Triumph's was the Scorpions, who followed. These two bands were the highlight that day, as by that time, the sound people had finally resolved the audio problems that unfortunately plagued Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, and to a lesser extent, Judas Priest and Ozzy. Sadly after the Scorps, and an inordinate amount of time before taking the stage, V.H. was a major disappointment, as Roth was drunk off his gourd and unable to satisfactorily perform. But back to Triumph. This DVD is incredible in quality both of video and audio, especially considering the technology of the day; guess Apple Computer's Wozniak hosting the show and ... I was there for this incredible concert, and Triumph's performance was not bested by any other band on Heavy Metal day. These are great concerts when they were at their peak, the musicianship is absolutely fantastic. Any Triumph fan will be totally impressed!

Absolutely Spellbinding!!!
I decided to buy this video because I saw one of the songs performed from this show on youtube and it looked really good. Man, as great as the youtube video was, I was amazed at how good this dvd is! Definately one of the best shows they ever put on. I loved being able to watch it on a big screen and turn it up really loud! Plus it has a bunch of cool extras like interviews and music videos. If you love Triumph and want to see one of their best performances, definately buy this dvd.
