A founding member of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver shares the story of his rise to the pinnacle of fame and fortune, his struggles with alcoholism and drug addiction, his personal crash and burn, and his phoenix-like transformation via a unique path to sobriety. In 1984, at the age of twenty, Duff McKagan left his native Seattle--partly to pursue music but mainly to get away from a host of heroin overdoses then decimating his closest group of friends in the local punk scene.     Duff McKagan really has something to say beyond the drugs and Axl Rose.

    If you are a Guns fan or just a fan of rock music then this is a fun read. Unlike books by fellow Guns members Slash and Steven Adler, Duff McKagan really has something to say beyond the drugs and Axl Rose. His point of view leaves some hope for a reunion tour someday..? Look for a signed copy, as it will only increase in value once G-N-R is inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame in April. Overall, this book doesn't solve world hunger, but it's an easy read with a story beyond the parting and drug abuse. Go get it. MRF

    Fantástico!

    Hello!!, I bought that book because i think that Duff is such a very interesting and very smart rockstar. I just read the book in a few weeks and i love it!. His life is like a bedtime story and if a fu..er stole my copy of that book, I will buy another one as soon as i can. The shipping was great and i'm very happy with the mcKagan book.
