Works well with smoke and other odors. The permanent HEPA filter in the Honeywell HHT-011 is able to filter almost 100% of pet dander, smoke, pollen, mold spores and dust. What’s great about this particular model is it comes with a light indicator that lets you know when it’s time to clean the filter. It does get a bit loud when set on high, but you only need this setting if there is a large concentration of dust in the room, or a bad smell you need to get rid of quickly. Great product, but noise takes some time to get used to.
I have chronic allergies and woke up every morning either with a cough or the sniffles. So I decided to try investing in an air purifier and I have not woken up with coughs or sniffles since I've set it up. If you have a similar problem, I highly suggest investing in an air purifier. I really like the Honeywell compact air purifier. It doesn't take a lot of space and a put it right next to my bed. Super simple set up and the controls work similarly to a fan. My only issue is that it does make a sound. If you're not used to the hum of an old fan or can't really block out noise, then I do not recommend purchasing this. I've gotten used to the sound and I'm able to sleep with it right next to me, but it does get annoying from time to time so I turn it off. Overall though, its a great buy and ... worth the money, if you dont mind the noise
For its size and price it is perfect. I have a small room that I needed to rid of cat and dog dander and i let it go to work for 48 hours and it smells and feels fresh in the room. When on high setting i usually keep it on a towel since it does seem to be very loud on high and with the towel I cannot hear it as much. It is still sort of loud on the lower settings but I cant really complain for the price! When i first read other reviews about the product I was sort of aggravated about the fact that it had a night light that you could not turn off (when in air purifying mode) but I now sort of like the light. It is sort of pointless to have a setting where you can turn the air purifier off but keep the internal fan going. When i need a fan i'll go and buy one. Overall I am happy with it!For its size and price it is perfect. This air purifier is the perfect size for our room. We love the white noise it makes. Very soothing, and it takes out so much dust. Thank you!

Well, it works!
I have another unit the 16200, which seems more solid. I also have the 50250 which is the premium model of all honeywell purifiers. Out of the box I started it on high and the fan rattled. So I smacked it a couple times to settle the fan or something and it quit rattling. Left it on high and went away for an hour or so. The unit cleaned out the 13x10 room pretty well and it smelled fresh. Now it just makes a whining noise so I turned it down to low. Moral of the story- you get what you pay for. I am satisfied with honeywell more expensive models. The 50250 does the best job, but the high output of air makes it a bit noisy so I leave it on low. Honeywell makes a good product and if they could just tweak some things and combine the best purifying models like the 50250 and make them ... I have another unit the 16200, which seems more solid.
