Great book - intriguing description of nonstandard ocular correction.
This is a great book! It swims upstream against prevailing ocular medicine, but the cited dramatic results are compelling. This highlights the capabilities of the human brain to correct visual anomalies. Book is in very good shape - and even includes the extra eye chart card.

This is a great book but its not one that is easily read. Get the recommended book instead because it contains the things that you need to know from Dr. Bates' book PLUS the easy to understand lessons and steps needed to regain your vision naturally. I have myopic astigmatism of 20/100 and can now get it down to 20/60 some times when I practice and I just started the exercises yesterday. Seeing clear close and far age 60!! NO GLASSES.
Started using Dr. Bates method in 1974 high school. One day use and vision clear! Had 1st pair glasses for myopia (blurry far vision) and that day I threw them away and never went back to glasses. Age 40 developed presbyopia (blurry vision up close for reading). The Bates Method worked in about 2 days; I used 'shifting' as described in Dr. bates book. I used it on close tiny parts of small objects. Eye doctor previous month told me everyone gets presbyopia in middle age and there is no cure. He said he cannot discuss the Bates Method with me because I am not educated, not a ophthalmologist/optometrist so wont understand. He lied! I did not buy the glasses. Secretly told the lady in the office I will use the Bates Method. I remember the first symptom of presbyopia; I could not see clear ... Started using Dr. Bates method in 1974 high school. Emily added a summary (all the steps) of the practice at the end of the book. So in this book you have the entire training; The technical/medical part, detailed training for all steps and the list 'summary' of all the steps for clear eyesight simplified at the end of the book. Great book, rare humanitarian doctor!
