  • Bob's Red Mill Baking Book by Bob's Red Mill Family

Lots of food recipes for the Bob's Red Mill products. Most of the recipes seem like stuff that my family will eat. I have been trying to get my 2 year old daughter to eat more high fiber foods and these recipes let me switch out some of her favorites (corn muffins, quick breads, pancakes). I live in a town of 13,000 and our 3 local grocery stores carry most of the products I need to make all the recipes but I can see some items I will have to order off of the Red Mill website. If you buy this cookbook you should be accustom to the "dense" texture of most of the baked goods. Overall if you want to eat more whole grain baked goods this book will help you out. THe book is easily laid out and pretty straight forward, very little graphics, few pictures.

  • Whole Grain Baking Made Simple!

Bob's Red Mill Baking Book has proven to be reliable, highly informative and helpful baking resource. It provides a unique introduction or "primer" to whole grains from A to Z that covers the varities, uses and even the history of each grain type. Included are healthy and delicious recipes (without pictures) for just about anything you could want to bake such as cakes, cookies, yeast rolls & breads, muffins, pies, scones, pizza, and more. The recipes are suitable for both beginner and advanced bakers. The only draw back I have found is that the ingredients are not listed by weight which is often the most accurate method of measuring. Overall, this is an excellent book if you are seriously interested in increasing the amount of healthy whole grains in your diet.

  • Lots of recipes for baking traditional baked goods.

I bought this book hoping to find some recipes for gluten free baked goods. Because I am gluten intolerant, and use many of Bob's Red Mill alternative types of flour, such as corn, white rice, brown rice and potato starch, I assumed that a Bob's Red Mill recipe book would include recipes using those types of flours. In that regard, I was very disappointed. It only has a handful of "gluten free" recipes. There are still many recipes, however, for those who can eat baked goods made with wheat flour. Since my husband is not gluten intolerant and can eat wheat products, I still find the book to be a useful source of recipes for baked goods that he can eat.

  • Excellent Recipes!

This book has great recipes and a lot of information! Naturally it's mostly using the products from Bob's Red Mill, but their products are excellent also.

  • My favorite cook book!

I love this book!! And if you care about eating healthy and getting away from grocery store food, you will love it, too! I use this book almost everyday. I just keep it in the kitchen, because I know as soon as I put it on the book shelf, I'm going to need it again. After years of going to Drs for issues, and getting no help from them, I looked at my diet. When I corrected the diet, the issues all cleared up. You need whole grains; you need this book!
