    EXTREMELY PREDICTABLE AND BORING

    This is the first time I've ever written a bad book review. The author has imaginative creatures; but there is NO character development other than a few sentences of who they are. There isn't anything that is unpredictable, but just a battle that must take place to stop these "creatures" from escaping. The book could have been written in 100 pages, not 305, with the last chapter being over 100 pages, with practically EVERY page being skip-able and finding the same EXACT situation (battle) taking place in another another section of the city. All that changes is X fights ghost creature, then Y fights disk ants, until someone else gets killed. The end is obvious, no surprises, and predictable. This could have been far better had the author co-written with someone better able to create more ...

    sequel to 'Fragment'.

    A great author, with great characters. If you've ever wondered what happened to the Hendros, read this book to find out! Also gives a great insight in human attitudes and our desperate need to make everything like ourselves, especially things we don't have a hope of really understanding! Sort of puts human arrogance into true perspective.
